People complaining about Twitch, but for the wrong reasons

A ton of people complain about his ult, and how much damage he can spray while it is up, and how they pray that they even have a chance to live through it. Sure, his ult allows him to deal a ton of damage while being safe, but other champs have a similar mechanic and aren't as annoying to play against or have as little counter play as twitch.

Champs like Caitlyn Tristana KogMaw all have long range to keep them safe while they DPS, and while they are very strong, they are also pretty "fair" to play against.

The thing that is game breaking about twitch is when he has IE + 2 zeal items, stealths up and kills your ADC/mid/support or hell, all 3 in 2-3 autos. 4 tops. With nearly 2.0 AS, twitch does this in less than 2 seconds. Now we recall back to when Riot added counter play to assassins. So they didnt kill you in 0.3 seconds ala old Rengar.

Yet currently crit twitch kills people far faster than any assassin, they have no warning to it, he doesnt have to hit any skillshots and it from range. Meanwhile, Eve has conditions on every part of her kit, and is melee. And has a larger detection range on her stealth. Rengar has a warning on his ult, not nearly as much DPS or burst, and no way out once he gets the kill. Shaco gets far less up time on his stealth, and a puff of smoke is seen when he enters it, even it was in the FoW.

Riot, I dont see how you can add all these hoops to jump through for assassin champs, yet on a champ that is 90% point and click, you allow him more DPS and burst with less warning. In the end, this is more about how crit needs to be looked at since it allows for instantaneous burst for all champs, but till then twitch needs counter play added to his kit.

ADCS would be much more fair and balanced with their level of damage if they removed maw, death's dance, GA and the damage reduction from PD from the class. They are supposed to be a glass cannon class and rely on their team and their range advantage as well as tricks and kiting abilities such as cait's traps, and knockback and mobility effects such as vayne E and trist leap. Twitch stealthing around and then coming out to lay DPS is actually balanced for the class (think rangers). And Life steal for sustain against tankier but low damage targets and QSS to keep them mobile are well within the archetype. But I have mained ranged physical damage dealers in mmos for years and while they've had stealth, CC (traps, blinds, slows etc), mobility and massive ranged damage, one thing they've NEVER had is the ability to TANK damage. No face tanking an assassin with death's dance 1 v 1 and living after the enemy blew FULL combo. It is making league EXTREMELY unbalanced because now you are combining those defensive tools with traditional support healing/peeling/shielding and tanks peeling/shielding ETC.

I get no one likes to just instantly get blown up and thus the defensive items. But if riot is going to stray from the archetypes, then they need to remove up front damage from ADCS and allow their damage to ramp over time like true sustain champions so that EVERYONE has the ability to counterplay. Assassins can go in and combo and when they fail to take out the tanky adc then they can escape and CC should be their counter. It shouldn't be, ranged can do everything without retaliation and when someone finally gets into melee range to stop them, the adc just face tanks the damage and instantly heals to full.
