Caitlyn's traps and headshots being the best example of how it's done currently. You know give them something to play with and the enemy to play around.

But Jhin is the prime example of a healthy Adc, bot Cait.
Cait herself shouldn't be able to crit at all, she should just get her headshots more often as the game goes on. Vayne should have Silver Bolts as her passive, and they should scale with Crit, while again preventing her from Criting at all.
Step 2 would be using these 'alternate scallings', think Ashe and Jhin, to rework Crit into a different stat altogether.

You're right that Jhin's 4th shot thing is a good version of crit done right. But I'm not really sure if I count Vayne's Silver Bolts.
The goal, as I see it, is to make both the adc and the opponent have room to maneuver around each other to try and either get maximum damage in or avoid the damage of their enemy.
Silver Bolts doesn't really do that very well. Vayne just autoattacks and her autoattacks become so fast that there's really not much that can be done to avoid it.

Silver Bolts are actually the healthies part of Vayne. Her biggest problem is being too ult realiant, where she is a monster with it and useless without it.

I hate this champion, she was a problem since forever, only lately she is not as strong, the fact that a champion has AOE crits on a highest ranged ADC is dumb as fuck, and her minigun free attack speed especially on towers is stupid

Just all ADC itemization is geared towards earlier in the game because of the stupid ADC 2k17 meme Riot decided to do something about it, and have kept adding more and more power to the bot lane when it was already fine, it was just the first blood turret and junglers being stupidly strong at the time that caused it.
