What the actual fuck is that pyke buff.

He is going to start executing people from 75% hp, and getting double gold from those kills.

idk, people might realize at some point that his ult as a support scaling with spell rank instead of levels is a huge damage nerf until lvl 16 (which he will never get as a support at least in high elo)

but whatever, it's the boards

not rlly, might be a huge damage nerf early, but once he gets an AD item it will be stronger overall, 200% ad up from 80% is quite a bit

Yea, my point is that the damage on his ult will barely change until he gets a lot of levels, because the base damage is lower and the scaling is higher

also don't forget that his ult deals 50% reduced damage to other targets now

It also does 50% reduced damage to the target if it doesn't execute.

Sounds like this’ll make him a low Elo monster.

people complained so hard about tanks that we became league of duty

Riot apparently wants him to be a one ability champion.

I warned you all this was the direction Riot was going when it took away his aoe damage to minions.

what pyke buff?

At first I thought it wouldn't be that bad. Then I did the math and saw that the break even point, the point at which scaling makes up for lower base damage, (with 0 lethality) at level 16 is 83.3 AD...

So yeah, this seems like it will be a pretty big buff to the execute threshold if the pyke is able to get items and levels.

I really don't see a problem with it. They really want to push pyke as a SQUISHY assassin bot. Too many people were building armor items on him and combined with his passive it gave him too much sustain. Nothing changed even after he was nerfed and he was still pretty much permabanned despite being around 47% win rate, so riot might as well buff him back up to around 50%. I personally think Pyke has a LOT more counterplay than Brand Velkoz Lux Fiddlesticks "support" but people really love getting on the Pyke hate train because "muh execute damage". Choo choo.

No. People hate Pyke because he breaks the support triangle. Sustain > poke Poke > engage Engage > sustain

Pyke is an engage based champion who is practically immune to poke.

Guys guys guys. It’s okay. He can’t build health ~ every Pyke player ever.
