Correct me if I am wrong, but...

...nowadays I have the impression that the victory is not decided by who plays better, but by who have the most powerful champion.

It is about skill...every champion is strong, but it is decided on how you play them. And How you play, like awareness and wards. I have carried games as Nami before, so that should show you an example of how you play is how you win. Hope this helped in some way

By powerful do you mean fed or just generally more powerful?

Generally the most powerful champions. Some champions have niches, but other champions do well against almost everything.

Yasuo does well against almost every mid laner.
MF does well against almost every bot laner. Fiora does well against almost every top laner. Leesin does well against everything. Nidalee does well against everything.

and then you look at champions like maokai who have a hard time against almost everyone nowadays, or braum who outside of the support position cant really do much.

All these champs happen to counter the currently popular champs. Their counters are often overlooked.

Yasuo can't keep up with Annie's spellcasts, and is useless against Hermi MF fails against any bot laner that has a ranged blast such as Varus or Jinx Fiora does badly against anyone who understands what positioning is Leesin.....you mean the guy who dies to Amumu all day? Nidalee does well? I didnt' know that was a thing that actually happened

Ironic that you'd meantion mao not doing well against most things when he stomps on half the champs you listed lol....and Braum isn't supposed to go outside of support (even though he actually does just fine up top if you know what you're doing)

I think he means one team is vayne darius thresh master yi and an op mid like yasuo and all arr noobs other team nunu mundo ashe tf and alistar but pro....the first team wins

You are wrong. The amount of times I've seen the enemy team get power picks like Jax/Graves/Mundo and still get destroyed is staggering. Which makes sense, everytime we get a Mundo he always manages to feed, or Jax is still farming the jungle when his devourer is sated, or the Graves does really well early but the game goes to 30 minutes and his damage falls off harder than Lee Sins sense of sight.

Skill > Champion

Now there are matchups that are hard to win if both parties are of equal skill, assuming you play smartly that mismatch becomes far less important when team play comes into it. The game has a lot of checks and balances at different layers.
