I really Hate Dynamic Borders
Call me old school but I really hate this new border system and basically everything that goes along with it.
DYNAMIC BORDER Shows your current rank compared to old borders who showed your end of prior season ranked for a whole season. It's literally only pro is it shows your current rank and that only is a pro if you hit a new tier for the first time ever. But..... I honestly see this as more of a con. In the past... yes you had to wait close to a season sometimes to see a "new" border... but honestly how many people hit a new tier right at the start of the season? And then just chill there the rest of the year? A handful? Even when it's a lot think about it this way. Ok so for one season this player misses out on this border for say like 6-7 months. But then the next season YOU LITERALLY GET THIS BORDER FOR THE ENTIRE FUCKING SEASON!. Which honestly for a lot of players is pretty great. Now I get it.... you might move up another tier again.... but think about it this way.
So you go from having a border for an entire season to now potentially having (the one you actually maybe want) more like 4-6 months depending on when you rank up. Like say you legit just want plat every season and you get there in April. Good on you but you missed out on your border from Jan-March. And then you have to re earn it again next season when you legit could have just had it from jan-nov both years.
This also really makes end of season rewards feel really underwhelming. You used to look forward to "o sweet finally get my border"... now its like wtf the point? lol. The w/e shit Vic skin they have again this season? And an icon...... good shit can't wait..... /s /s /s.
Also, why the FUCK can we only display border or our fucking level? lmfao???????????? Lazy programming, intentional, whatever its so fucking dumb. Like you legit have to hit "display border" but then your icon is literally your fucking rank, which almost no one cares about. And when you do display it most people just see you as a egotistical asshole. "O... cool man showing your rank really cool" lmfao. Feels so dumb. Was cool in the past having your new border show up both in ranked and in norms. Now you hardly ever seen borders in norms anymore mostly because people don't want to "be that guy" plus idk... I feel like showing anything above plat instead of level is dumb anyways.
New splits Armor? Honestly.. originally I thought this was a cool idea BUT I LITERALLY CAN'T TELL ANY CHANGE IN ARMOR AT ALL. MUCH LESS ANYONES DIVS RANK FROM THEIR BORDER lmfao like..... I legit can't tell Div 1 from Div 4..... I get there "more shit" to it but it all looks the same to me. I just... don't care at fucking all.
Also..... Besides like Master or Grand Master & challenger.... I feel like the rest of the borders look a fucking ton worse than prior seasons. So.... the top what .1% of players get cooler borders while the rest of us get screwed over once again. Might just be me but I legit hate how borders look now.
I am going to try to ht plat but I am already sad because I know I will have my border for only like 3 months... well plus what Dec? Whatever... then I have to "earn it again" which honestly the way the game is now I doubt I will even play much in season 10. And honestly beginning of season ranked is so beyond fucked to play that I don't even consider ranked season starting until like June..... so that's like 5 months of useless ranked play because of how fucked match making is plus displaying a border I don't give a fuck about. Great system Riot just like everything you been doing lately.................... /S

Fuck dynamic borders, go back to old system. Just show our damn border in ranked/norms like before AND also our level.... choosing 1 or the other makes beyond 0 sense especially in norms.
