I thought I had them figured out. You stay at 0 LP after you promote, then when you win one and lose the points including a loss at 0 LP, you get demoted.
I played a game after promos, got to 20 LP, lost 3 games (a game at 0 LP) and it didn't demote me. Is there a set limit of games or something that I have to play to be demoted? 4 is apparently not the magic number. And no I'm not intentionally losing, it just fell that way.
CppL1 votesi think it"s based on your mmr.if you have high mmr you can lose like 4-5 games at 0 points.If you have low mmr you can be demoted after 1 lose.But im not sure.

Applesaucey1 votesno your not safe. there is a grace period of like 5 games after going up a rank from say 5-4 and after the period is over your next loss at 0 will drop you. However to get demoted out of a bracket say from gold to silver. Your mmr has to be that of a full rank below where your at so to drop out of gold you have to have the mmr of a silver 5 player. So you have to lose at 0 alot then. Which with the fucking crap teammates im getting lately isn't all that hard.

not 100% sure the grace period is 5 games but there is a grace period
