only i'm tired of seeing tank supports dominating bot lane and riot is ok with it?
i'm tired of seeing, thresh, braun, leona and even nautilus being a better support than traditional supports. When soraka, sona, nami, janna gonna see some love?

Hey, don't underestimate Janna. Or Lulu, for that matter. Both are still fantastic peelers with massive disengage abilities, able to royally screw up the enemy's plans.
Lets just face that there will probably never be a time where "true" supports will be better then tank supports
Riot always come up with some stupid excuse as to why Soraka/Sona/Lulu/Janna are "over-baring" when bottom lane consists of more true supports, since Nami hasn't been around for a time like this I would assume the same treatment would be for her as well, Bard too
Janna is the best support in the game.
Nami and Janna is seeing LCS action. Their already good.
Soraka has the problem of being a dedicated healer where Riot hates heals.
And people don't ever shut up, when Sona is good.
*are and They're You're killin' me smalls!
Well, you're in luck. They aren't "better support than traditional support." At least until very recently. Naut is good (IN THE LCS) because (IN THE LCS) supports roam constantly earlygame so (IN THE LCS) they are basically a second jungler.
WOW. This is hilarious.
A year ago the word tank would have been 'mage'.
Just give it time and a handful of balance changes. Traditional supports have their place; it's just harder in this meta.
I don't really understand what you mean by "traditional" supports. Thresh, Braum, Leona, and Nautilus are superior in terms of their tankyness, but in no way makes the superior to Soroka, Sona, Nami, or Janna. If you FACETANK, then the tankier champion will win in almost all cases, but if you can actually position properly and use your range to your advantage, the ranged supports are better early game. Engage supports have it easier because they can engage. Their engage comes with risks, though. If they miss their abilities or overextend, it turns into them getting dumped on until they have their cooldowns back up or they die.
Tank champions are easier to play. Asking a non-support main to play Nami is like asking a random person to play Orianna.
It's not about power, it's about mastery. Most traditional supports require some finesse and are not as forgiving.
I disagree. Tanks that have to engage to do their job (Leona) feel tough, and unforgiving when your team doesn't follow up properly. Traditional support such as Soraka can do most of their job in teh back or center; if you screw up, it's not always your life at risk, and you can escape to keep supporting the remainder of your team. That's why I main Nami and stopped playing Thresh and Leona lol X3
You're missing the point.
Meanwhile traditional supports:
Why would you go out of your way saving lives and helping your team when you can just pick a tank support, go all-in and die with them?
Are you just trolling now?
I'm not trolling, I'm explaining why nobody except support mains play traditional supports.
If you don't want to support, don't care about learning the role and are stuck last pick, why would you pick something that isn't a sturdy straightforward playmaking champion?
That's why Thresh/Blitzcrank/Leona are so popular.
If you die because noone followed on your 3 man Solar Flare, it's your team's fault.
As if you can't be out of position and waste a Flare that can't be followed up on.
it's your fault for not having more than four wards down
Really? More than four wards?
traditional supports...Have mostly defensive kits.
Are we even talking about the same type of Support? Which non-tanks are mostly defensive? A quick glance at your Match History I assume you like the non-tanks...ones like Annie and Sona who are very aggressive non-tanks. Are you telling me at your skill level that you can't make plays, die when caught, and are mostly passive?
Half your post feels pretty trolly to me. Idk why I even graced it with a response, seeing as how you told me my own personal opinions and experience is somehow "missing the point". Pretty sure my actions fit in the context of my reply since I was describing my own experience.
I thought the sarcastic tone was pretty obvious. Either way, non-support mains will find more success on tanky playmakers than squishy traditional supports.
Are you telling me at your skill level that you can't make plays, die when caught, and are mostly passive?
Bad players playing Nami don't know when to get aggressive and get punished with death. Or they play way too passive and lose the lane through inaction because they don't understand how it works.
Leona. Press E. YOLO. You landed that Zenith Blade, you did your job! Got a kill, it's thanks to you. Died trying? It was probably the ADC's fault! Bad players on Leona don't even know that they messed up. And even if they do, it's their team's fault for forcing them to support.
I hate having them on my team, but they make for really easy lanes on the enemy team.
Half your post feels pretty trolly to me.
My posts are either cold infodumps or mostly sarcastic commentary (or is cynical the better word?). I could probably work on giving more context.
sorry the sarcastic portions seem to flow right into the rest of it as if it belongs
These supports have been on the rise, and people want to try them out. Other supports are still good. If you don't like seeing them every game, then why don't you play them instead. Traditional supports are more rewarding anyways.
up
I can definitely see where you're coming from with this post; I sometimes dread seeing certain ones. Really though if you are a competent enough player, you should be able to take care of them. Sure I like playing Leona, but switching it up with Sona or Nami is always fun.
Learn to dodge skill shots. Boom. Raka, sona, nami and janna just became superior. WHAT?!
Thresh, Braum, and Leona were designed as supports. Nautilus, Annie, and Vel'Koz not so much.
