My problem with Yasuo

It's not that he does damage or that he is easy to play. It's the fact he is strong all game. He has a good early game, a good middle game, and an insane late game.

The second he hit's 6 your built armor means nothing to him. Meaning he doesn't have to worry about building armor pen until much later in the game unlike most carries where you can build armor if they start to get ahead. Yasuo basically eliminates any chance of coming back. This is completely ignoring his wind wall. If he dashs Q ults you are dead. There is nothing you can do because his dash is linked to your own minions and his knock-up becomes basically a better Riven W that can crit.

At the very least make it so that Yasuo's ult marks everyone that he hits with it with a debuff which has the same duration as the current buff that allows him to use the armor pen passive so that he has to actually get you in the ult to ignore your armor. I feel like this wouldn't gut Yasuo, but would encourage using his ult properly. And this would allow people to build a GA and come back somewhat stronger because the debuff will be gone. It gives Yasuo some actual counter play instead of just eh deal with his raw numbers and insane power curve.

Agreed. Yasuo's laning phase is way too strong for how hard he scales into late.

He needs a slight rework so he isn't so toxic. I want him to be viable, but his kit is pretty much BS right now.

Yasuo is a bit like Draven; he takes a lot more skill than one would expect. However, like Draven he can snowball extremely hard.

Yasuo does have a strong early game and mid game, but only against skill shot mages. He is literally designed to beat champions such as Lux or Orianna. However, against mages with consistent damage or point and click CC such as Annie Malzahar Viktor Azir , Yasuo suddenly doesn't do so hot.

In these match ups, his early and mid game is indeed quite weak as intended. Many assassins such as Zed either go even with him in lane or counters him such as Diana.

The most reliable way to deal with Yasuo is just to gank him early when he shoves the wave (His kit does it inevitably). Otherwise, try not to pick a champion that relies too heavily on projectile skill shots.

Most AP bruisers and fighters destroy him in lane. Cho'gath and Riven automatically wins lane against Yasuo.

In a team fight, put exhaust or whatever CC on him when he ults in; during his ultimate he suppress himself as well. If your team is too stun locked to do that, the fight would have been lost anyways even Yasuo wasn't there.

BTW, it is possible to avoid Yasuo's E Q combo. Just walk towards where he E'ed from. Assuming you aren't too far from the origin point and have tier 2 boots, you can dodge the AOE. If you aren't the target of the his E, just walk away from his destination instead.

His Q scales at 100 plus some of his AD keep in mind other then his ultimate he pretty much has nothing to deal damage with; his E isn't that strong in terms of damage. The reason why he hurts so much is because of his critical strike passive, it's a free 3000-4000 gold because he only needs two items to get near full critical strike unlike assassins like Yi that need near full build of crit items.

But you forget he also gets 2 items worth of armor pen against people who build armor currently. This is basically to make sure that in order to tap into that armor pen he is actually attacking the people his ult went on instead of randomly adding in damage and giving him the ability to kill an entire team because a single person got hit.

Basically his kit gives him over 4k free gold for existing.

Nothing to deal damage with? The dude deals near double damage with every autoattack.

The only time Yasuo is hard to play is if people on the enemy team counter him or if his team literally didn't bring at least one other champion with a knock up.

You guys should stop considering Yasuo ultimate as a point&click.

It might as well be considering he can use his dash to proc it and also doesn't need to set it up himself. People seem to forget how much letting someone wombo for free with 0 skill floor is. Orianna or Malphite get's 3 people. Guess what now Yasuo is also ulting 3 people. That is a lot of raw power alone in CC just from the extended CC timer (on a CC that has no counter play currently) because of Yasuo ult combined with the damage which is essentially Yasuo's AA damage + a base value which then also a 50% armor pen on bonus armor on anyone without any restrictions.

All you need to do to make Yasuo useful even against counters is literally provide someone with an AoE knock up on your team and he can dominate. But meanwhile most people when they get countered are miserable whenever that person is at their peak (which I want to stress that Yasuo's is supposed to be late game, but just 1 knock up post-6 nulls his early game weakness).
