Anyone tried Vlad-Soraka bot?

Man, I say this as a Vladimir main, but that lane is pure goddamned cancer

Contrary to popular belief, Vlad has a good early game. His poke with Q is good, pool at lvl2 and Q at level 3 allow him to not push much and get out in case of an early gank, and his healing means he can take a few more risks than others. It's his 5-9 that sucks, because most champs tend to gain some kind of powerspike here, while Vlad's ult, while good, is not enough a powerspike at lvl1 compared to other toplaners in a 1vs1 fight.

Enter soraka, the cancer goat that combined with Vlad forms the purest and most powerful of leukaemias.

Not only is Vlad's 2vs2 significantly better than his 1vs1 but Soraka's nonstop healing and silence field makes this pair nearly unbeatable against any bot duo without 600+ range.

If the enemy engages on Vlad, Soraka's healing will keep him alive against almost anything for a long time. If they engage on Soraka, Vlad can dish out enough AoE, especially level 6 upwards, to kill them at the very least during the time it takes them to kill soraka. The only thing that sufficiently counters this strat is a carry with range long enough to harrass Vlad or Soraka without much fear of consequences..

The only downside to this strat is that you'd either have to send an ADC to a solo lane or have to have a 3 man AD team with Vlad as the AP damge otherwise you were easily itemizable against. But now that Marksmen can effectively go many different roles, from jungle to top to even mid, for the boldest, this comp is powerful enough to crush solo-ques, if you find a team willing to put up with it

You can have Quinn top lane. OP!

Vlad will lose every single trade against an ADC with strong consistent AA damage.

That lane can't survive ANY lane except maybe Janna KogMaw which just outscales them like crazy.

It can't bully, can't skirmish, can't do anything except farm, and isn't even that strong mid-game.

The biggest issue I see here is that Vlad can't really deal out constant damage like an ADC can. Maybe Quinn top can make up for this, but I can see farming being a real pain for Vlad against ADCs. I've never tried it or seen it, but those are the issues I can think of.

Vlad is very good against people he outranges.

Which is basically nobody when it comes to bot lane. So, uhh.... good luck. A decent bot lane would hit you every time you tried to CS and you wouldn't be able to do much back to them. You probably wouldn't die and you'd probably sustain yourselves for a while, but it would be really hard for you to keep up in CS.
