About Lee Sin, Riot's Comment, and my Ideas

> For Lee Sin, he is just overpowered, so we're bumping him down slightly next patch - junglers are performing very well at the moment and he is the best jungler. (He adds a lot to competitive play though, so we don't want to hit him too hard). EDIT: Want to bring him down without bricking him for normal and competitive play. Ie. He can be played but he's not in every game. It's not about playing favourites, but just balancing.

This whole Lee Sin thing isn't anything new. It appears that Riot favours the Blind Monk a lot. I, and potentially a lot of other players, were worried about Riot saying "He adds a lot to competitive play though, so we don't want to hit him too hard." Now, saying that you don't want to nerf a champion too much is alright, but it may become a problem when the reason you aren't nerfing them too hard is just because $LCSBIGPLAYS$

BUT, NOT TO WORRY:

Riot followed up this statement with the comment "Want to bring him down without bricking him for normal and competitive play." Some may think "omg rito show favourtism for lee soon, y no deletes?" But honestly, this is a pretty good idea to have when balancing a game. You can't balance a game just by absolutely ruining a champion and leaving them in the dust, which they hopefully learned after Aatrox's release and inevitable nerf. Nor can you balance a game by just ignoring how strong a champion is. While the meta shifts often to allow for some diversity and changes, there's always going to be some champions that overall perform better for others.

I feel that the BEST way for Riot to balance champions, be they old, new, or reworked; is to use the PBE. From what I noticed, there isn't often large balance changes to champions getting changed on the PBE, mostly just visual changes and bugfixes. Of course, extensive balancing on the PBE can leave players not on the PBE having to deal with whatever over/under-powered champion left behind, but I'd prefer quality instead of just "ignore them" or "trash them".

Mostly what I wanted to hear was discussion on Lee Sin and how Riot should balance champions, so what are your thoughts? Should Riot spend more time balancing on the PBE? Should they release hotfixes continuously? Should they keep balancing as normal?

No shit riot favours the blink monk, otherwise why does he get a buff whenever he falls out of meta while something like aatrox sits in the fucking gutter while ryze gets his annual reworks (Failures) and riot not trying to fix the darkin blade?

Call me salty, but it's clear riot is playing favorites.

I'm not arguing with that, just glad they're finally looking into SOME nerfs to Lee.

I don't think lee is as overpowered as some people try to make it sound. He's just super fucking annoying.

I feel his problem isn't his massive strength, but just that he's a real jack of all trades. Mobility, CC, defenses, projectiles, etc. While his perks may not be as strong as some other champions (Fizz's mobility should outclass Lee's mobility), he's just able to almost do it all.

Well jack of all trades have never really been balanced, they're either shit because they are JOATs or gods because they fit in all metas.
