Why everyone considers Vayne to be a dedicated tank buster ADC?

It is not that she is not good at killing tanks, she is actually very good at killing them. But on my opinion the actual tank buster ADC is with his mixed damage, % damage on his W, and resistance shred, while Vayne is more of a duelist ADC. Most ADCs are poor duelists, but Vayne is the exception. With the ability to self peel with Q and her ult, her true damage based on max health, and her Condemn, she can 1x1 just about any champion in the game, especially when at full build. The actual reason why she has % true damage is to allow her to outduel anyone. The ability to bust tanks is just a bonus, as she needs to outduel anyone and that includes tanks.

TL:DR: Why she is "sold" as a dedicated anti-tank ADC when the real anti-tank ADC is Kog'Maw and she is actually a dedicated 1x1 ADC?

Vayne has a knockback that can stun. She has the ability to dodge roll which helps to dodge or kite. Then she has the infamous silver bolts. She can easily get away from most tanks while killing them. Kog could be a naked orange and still not be peeled enough.

Dude, you missed his point and added things to reinforce it. He's saying that Vayne should be considered "the Duelist ADC" instead because of what you both wrote.

She is a duelist. But duelist alone doesn't make up for it all. Quinn is another top tier duelist, but she is also an assassin. Vayne is a duelist, but excels at kiting and teamfights, mainly due to her tank fighting power.

Look at it this way:

Quinn: duelist, assassin, horrible teamfight

Vayne: duelist, tank burster, strong teamfight

Kog'Maw: tank burster, amazing teamfight, can't do anything by himself

She has mobility and kog has absolutely none. If a tank gets on top of vayne, she has tools to get away from them.

Kog doesn't. Plus you can't really build against true damage either, especially %max health.

building health does nothing vs a vayne since she's gonna do the same amount of true damage regardless

Kog only does mixed damage when his W is active and if you cc him at all or make him chase you then he's gonna lose a lot of DPS since he pretty much has to stand still to maximize his damage

building health and armor does a lot vs vayne who's going to build AD and crit.

kog'maw has item 3124 item 3153 in his kit so he has respectable mixed damage even without W. and he only needs to stand still if you're buying too much attack speed; kog'maw can still stutter step with roughly 3.0 attack speed.

You do realize what "True Damage" and "% Max HP" means, don't you?

"True Damage" is a type of damage that is neither physical nor magical, which means it ignores all armor and magic resist. "True Damage" is not "Mixed Damage" which does NOT ignore all armor and magic resist.

"% Max HP" means the more health an opponent builds, the more damage it does to that opponent.

Vayne's W does True Damage that scales based on a % of an opponents Max HP, which means that a tank might as well be a squishy little bug as far as she's concerned. Build all the armor you want; she'll just ignore it. Build all the health you want; her attacks will just do that much more damage.

I just want to make sure you know what you're talking about, since you seem to think that True Damage == Mixed Damage. It doesn't. So comparing Vayne's Damage to Kog's Damage is like comparing Apples to Oranges.

Few things.

Attack speed caps out at 2.5 unless they changed it. 2)Mixed damage is great but % true damage is a whole level up. It's like what, 12% when fully maxed? It ignores all defenses, thats why we call it TRUE damage. HP? 12% of 2000 is 240. Hit it 9 times is 2,160. You're past dead. 12% of 5,000 is 600. Hit it 9 times is 5,400 and once again you're past dead. Guess what? Regardless of the hp, getting stacked on 9 times (Not including other damage) is already PAST your hp pool. That's the % damage part. Flat damage has nothing on that when it comes to shredding tanks. You can force them to build both armor and mr but that hp pool they're getting is going to be harder on Kog than vayne by a longshot. Not to mention kog isn't going to build much, if any, magic pen when going adc. That MR stops a portion of his damage too.

With silver bolts alone, it takes a long time to kill you. A lot of Vayne's damage still comes from AD and Tumble.

Wat. You do know she has %health TRUE damage, right? Not saying she's OP, just that armor and Hp in no way counter her.
