I like the Shen rework
I've been seeing more then a few threads dissing the new Shen so I'll just say it, new Shen > old Shen by far. Thank you Riot, well done. Aside from the taunt hitbox, which is being addressed already, he feels perfect.

I have to agree with you. I played old Shen a crap ton and he became my go to for any lane, I was comfortable with him. When I saw the change in his q, w and passive I wasn't sure what to think. But before I said "riot this sucks" I tried him out... And loved it. I'm having so much fun with this rework. I even take him mid(if you get mid and the enemy picks Zed, go with Shen, its too easy)
It took me 5 posts, hundreds of comments, and 7 Rioter comments to get people to reach that conclusion.
THANK YOU!
I win almost every lane with him (I'm silver ranked right now Tho ...) Shen in low elo is really strong, especially when you are with a premade. In high elo, he has a very low win rate tho
I hope riot can Fix his taunt and some number somewhere in his kit. Maybe give him a better taunt since he has no more range attack, but I expect a better win % with the fix on his taunt. At this moment his taunt is bugged... Sometime you dash through the target and the hitbox feel akward with his new animation. ( Riot Know about this bug and we'll probably get a fix in the next patch )
If you go on Champion.GG, Shen has one of the lowest win rate in plat+ (Top lane, 46% ) But has the most play rate... ( 14.15% ) If you take jax for exemple, has a 46% win rate but only 5.89% play rate. Do you think his high play rate cause his low win rate since he is a somewhat ''new'' and more difficult champion to master than before?
An in all, New Shen is Superior on paper. But in practice, he is more difficult to play than before, its a fact, and probably take more time to understand how build him and play him. Anyway, I love this guy. His ult and taunt was enough to catch my heart, and his new kit is pretty cool in eyes (Still miss his old cancer kit :P)
anything is strong in low elo.
anything is strong in low elo.
Yeah its a fact. In bronze/Silver everything is viable. I mean, I'm silver and I often duel against gold/plat in top lane and I win my lane 90% of the time.
I remember when people said Poopy was trash and she had a very bad Win %. I kept Crying how OP she was Top/Support and no one trust me... Same thing happened for Graves...
We need to wait and see how its going in 1 month, then now we can complain.
