Stormraider's Surge look's OP to me, and its perfect for bursty mages. 35% MS is a lot, 3 seconds is a long time, and a 10 second cooldown is short.

Plotting 0/18/12 with Wanderer, Biscuits, Meditiation, Bandit, Precision, Stormraider's, and Sorcery, Feast, Talent, Bounty Hunter on Ahri.

It doesn't really seem fair for mages to have to go deep into utility to get a good Keystone when ADCs get their ideal one for going deep into the damage tree, which is much more natural for them.

I don't know. Deathfire on some DoT mages will be nasty. Brand basically gets 36% bonus ap scaling on every ability used by itself (10%/1.5 for 5.5)

That and intelligence allows for 45% Max CDR. Plus 7% magic penetration, increased damage on spell damage and ability damage.

Except that Deathfire is a Ferocity keystone and Intelligence is Tier 3...meaning, you get one or the other, not both.

Looks like you're correct on that. But you still gain access to movement speed, biscuits, mana regen or extra damage to low health enemies, and 5% hp and mana refunded on kill.

ProfDrDeath1 votes

And that's different from now how?

Now, you have 5% CdR, AP, bonus damage to low enemies, 5% hp & mana on kill, increased damage to minions and monsters, %-bonus AP, %-pen, general damage increase, magic damage on-hit, mana or MS, summoner spell cooldown, longer potion duration and biscuits.

In the new ones, you'll have MS, biscuits and longer duration, mana regen or extra damage to low enemies, 5% refund, general spell damage increase, 20 HP restore, AP, conditional general damage increase, %-mpen, burn damage on spell hit

Comparing our two lists, the new masteries will have: -5% CdR -summoner cooldown -mana (instead of mana regen) or extra damage to low enemies (if choosing mana regen) -%-arpen -magic damage on-hit -%-bonus AP -bonus damage to minions and monsters +HP restore +burn on spell hit

45% Max CDR.

We also couldn't reduce summoner spell cooldowns as far as I am aware.

The armor pen isn't bonus armor.

Not all are great for mages. The beauty of it is mixing them up.

45% Max CDR.

Can be practical on some mages. However, you need 2 40% items or 1 20% + 1 10% + blue for the other 40%. AND you give up 7% magic penetration for getting the 5% CdR.

We also couldn't reduce summoner spell cooldowns as far as I am aware.

Standard 21/0/9 currently includes the Tier 2 utility mastery that reduces summoner cooldowns.

The armor pen isn't bonus armor.

Current %-penetration mastery in offensive tree gives both Armor and magic penetration. New masteries seperate %-ArPen and %-MPen.

Not all are great for mages. The beauty of it is mixing them up.

That I wholeheartedly agree on.

My mistake on the summoner cooldown. Though I'm glad we can agree on something.

Dont even argue with the AP trolls they are worst then ADC mains.

To be fair, Mages are always going to be "stronger" in a single rotation than and ADC, if a mage cant burst the ADC from 100-0 in 1 rotation, you're probably dead anyway.

And AP SUPPORTS only have ONE option.

It's as if Rito is constantly trying to kick them out of botlane permanently-- oh wait.
