You haven't galio'd or Aatrox'd him, at least he still resembles his former self. But I doubt a majority of mains will stick with him given how hard you've destroyed his former playstyle. The niche DPS mage with a small but dedicated playerbase, is now a boring generic burst mage who's most unique spell may as well not be there. More vulnerable to counterplay? Making him easier? His counterplay is positioning and landing your CC, thing every mid laner has

You've removed almost EVERYTHING that made aurelion sol, the star dragon we loved. He can't wave clear and roam as hard, his toggle W is gone and now all we do is blow our load and gtfo. Like every, other, burst mage in the entire game. He didn't need lategame buffs. The whole point of aurelion is roam and get fed and end before everyone else outscales you. You don't even know how your own champs function as games progress Why waste time ruining a champion a few people love? That isn't hurting your fken pro play for once in an eternity? Instead of milking your fking cash cows
