Melee vs Ranged Top Lane minion block/ minion aggro discrepancy

I may be making this up, but I feel like there is a huge discrepancy in the top lane when I face a ranged opponent as a melee. They will spring past minions to auto me and my wave ignores them or only a few will focus the champion. As opposed to if I melee the ranged champion his entire wave not only focuses me, but chases me down, beats the shit out of me and blocks me so that the ranged champ gets 23 free autos. I understand I'm biased because I play almost no ranged champs top lane, but it just feels... awful

The reason is because the minions are not anywhere near YOU when you take the damage. If they poke you while you are standing inside the wave, it will proc all the minions. Too bad they will just walk away before the minions get in range to attack them...

I've literally stood in my own minions being attacked and not had them aggro my opponent. Even if they do, they often give up due to the enemy's range from them before they complete an attack.

As a trynd main I can confirm this.

If you're playing tryndamere, you should be getting countered by ranged.

From what im seeing you both need to be close to your Wave.

Say the marksmen is IN your wave and your walking back to your tower- it wont aggro. Since the instance of damage "you" are out of minion aggro range.

You need to be 1)within the range of your minions and 2) the enemy marksmen needs to be in the range of your minions

Honestly for it to be a beneficial help you have to be lvl 4 or lower otherwise its garbage anyway.
