About opening up the bot lane to other champion roles

Which ones? Mages were shown to have potential when the Ziggs bot lane craze blew through. I have extreme doubts about melee champions being given lease to go bot lane ever since CertainlyT's mordekaiser rework. I also don't want to live in a world where Assassin's have decent ability to lane down there, given the already snowball heavy nature of League.

What about AD caster mages? IMMOBILE AD caster mages, we don't need a meta of better assassins. Problem with that idea is that they would be balanced around Lethality. And we all know how much everyone hates Lethality. And ranged champions who build it.

So I guess the point I'm trying to get across is, open it to WHO? Your only real healthy option at this point is Mages, since AD itemization just isn't geared towards champions that aren't either supposed to scale into late game, or coast on mid game and one-shot priority targets.

Why not just diversify ADC's kits a bit more? I think utility ones are in a ok place considering Varus and Kalista seem pretty well off and all the utility ADC actually have pretty diverse kits.

Then maybe we can open up caster dps ADC some more. I mean after Corki got sent up to mid lane we were left with who for caster ADC? Miss Fortune and Lucian. Lucian doing not enough damage and not scaling well enough to bully or snowball unless he was played in mid. No caster is going to outweigh auto attackers in a tank meta so I'm not going to complain about MF since I think in these squishy solo Q comps she is actually still viable.

But then Ezreal is the only poke ADC now too! (Again cuz Corki got the boot)

They should add more caster damage ADC, add more poke ADC, and level the playing field a bit between utility ADC.
