Are you joking me, 10 bans only in normals for a week?

What is even the point of this? What data do you hope to get from testing it in normals first? Does anyone in the Riot staff team realize that normals are not a good source of data because they are not competitive? What the hell Riot

I think it's less about data and more about making sure everything transfers over to the main servers without many issues. Although Normals aren't as competitive as ranked for obvious reasons, I still believe some valuable information can be taken from Normals.

Its mostly for bug testing purposes.

ArcherNo1 and Hai Im Jinxsu have the best input on this, but can I also say:

because they are not competitive?

That's kinda the point?

Riot's mentioned that the Simultaneous Blind 10-Ban system is going to be used for lower-tier play (although Ranked is competitive, it still counts as lower-tier), so, wouldn't it make sense that a low-tier system be introduced in a low-tier environment?

No, it makes sense that a system that might be buggy is introduced in a low-stakes environment.

Yea they aren't gathering data about who gets banned or how many duplicates. They are making sure that through those thousands of games that nothing is crazily broken about the way the system works. PBE is fine to test stuff in but it has a tiny fraction of the players that NA server does.

Maybe they are seeing if its worth it to put 10 bans in normals or keep it at 6. while still adding 10 to ranked.
