why is there such a huge gap between weak junglers and strong junglers
When are weak junglers going to get jungle only buffs like
did. Meanwhile Jungle champions like
sit in the dust because of slow clear times.

Because the jungle gets balanced around the top tier junglers constantly.
Oh, there's a handful of junglers that are first clearing too fast with too much HP? Bet the solution is to nerf jungle.
Meanwhile I'm over here on Wukong killing scuttle after my second buff to hopefully regen enough health to not die to my fourth camp
Jungle went downhill after they added plants and destroyed dragon's value. Big reason why I stopped playing jungle and moved to support.
Still awaiting Nautilus changes.
we live in a snowball meta, junglers who get an early advantage for lane successfully tend to be preferred over regular junglers with the hyper yi mains who appear after 35 minutes being the exception.
No idea what this is about, Ekko use to be somewhat viable in the jungle and then was not after the nerfs. His clear is still not that great compared to most anyone else that jungled before his buffs came in, and I've seen most "not good" junglers fair much better in the jungle than him.
Junglers are affected by meta shifts more than arguably any other role. Aside from a select few (intentional) favorites, most of them rise and fall in power based on the current meta.
