frozen heart on manaless champs

Since there are no armor damage items like the old Atmas Impaler anymore, it would really open up options if Frozen Heart could be used on manaless champions. Just got Justicar from the hextech chest and couldn't be happier. Playing him I couldn't help but think about how great would work on him. CDR tank items are great when you want some tankyness without compromising too much damage. Not to mention it would synergize well on many of the manaless champions like dare I say tank , or tankish , .

I was thinking, instead of mana, perhaps it could give the same passive as UNIQUE: Reduces summoner spell cooldowns by 10%. and cost like 2650 gold.

Or keep the 2800 gold prive and have it give like 150% health regen or maybe a stat like that found on (Blocks 8 damage from basic attacks and single target abilities from champions).

Manaless champions aren't catered to in the item pool because they're manaless. They're balanced on that fact, and thus are largely excluded from consideration when it comes to working on items. You want that tank and CDR? By all means. But that forces you to buy excess stats you won't use in exchange for not having to use them in the first place.

Or they have to give up early stats if they decide to take it through runes.

I've tried taking Scaling CDR Quints and Glyphs on Shyvana a couple times and found that I quite enjoyed it. At 40% CDR (with a Spirit Visage), I found that it was much easier to chase and escape enemies due to near 100% up-time on W and my Q was up far more often. My clear didn't really suffer much for it either (though that may not be the case after the upcoming nerf).

CDR quints, huh? Interesting.

And yeah, I think Shyvana's clears might be slowed down a little with the upcoming nerfs, but I think you should be fine. From the way Riot talks, they were looking to nerf her regardless of Devourer or Rageblade.

The mana is kinda the least part of it -- if I really need it on someone like Garen (who really shouldn't be building it in the first place) and my support can't pick i up, then I am perfectly fine getting it for the other stats.

I wouldn't recommend buying it on Aatrox though. He's more of a sustain damage 'tank' rather then an actual tank. You just out heal any damage that the enemy puts at you

I think there are plenty of other ways to get CDR, having the AoE from FH is nice, but sm1 else on the team could pick it up too. Not to mention, item 3143 is probably better on those champions anyways.

does item 3742 do that much dmg though i guess I can also just go with sunfire too? I was thinking 20% cdr would be close to what I'm looking for. I guess I can also do item 3056 and cdr glyphs and maybe merc treads instead but limits my boots options. mostly trying to find something that pairs well with item 3065 .

i just don't like having to rack my brains so much. like I can also get item 3026 and max cdr glyphs. then I'm left with ample mr, not much early game tho.

I guess the answer is don't get item 3065 just get item 3156 .

It's still cost efficient though if the passive aura is worth at least 400 gold. 1% of attack speed is worth 25 gold so the %15 attack speed slow that frozen heart does would be equal to 375 gold. So in other words if you're being attacked by at least 2 enemies(makes the passive worth 750 gold), frozen heart is over %100 percent gold efficient. You might feel weird building it on a champion who doesn't have mana, but it's still going to be efficient to purchase.
