If your not going to make rakan melee can you extend the range of relic shield

To 300. Although I don't think him being melee would be game breaking anyway

Rakan is not a tank. I repeat. Rakan is not a tank.

Therefore, Rakan is not intended to be taking and synergizing with Relic Shield. He is intended to take Coin, and in some cases, Spellthief. Rakan is basically an assassin style support - he goes in, blows his load, then dashes back out. He is not meant to build tanky nor is he meant to soak a lot of blows.

You can however build him tanky and it works. He does synergize with relic shield regardless of whether it works correctly on him or not.

He works, yes, much in the same way that AS Lulu and Bruiser Taric work. There's nothing saying they can't do those things, but their overall design doesn't primarily support these build paths. These are secondary and off builds, just like tank Rakan. Rakan is intended to rely on speed and mobility to get in and out, which is why his primary items are Talisman and Censor. There are hitches in his design that dissuade tank builds, such as being a ranged attacker and plus having really good AP scaling on all of his abilities. So play him as he's intended, and stop trying to force a playstyle on him that he was clearly designed to avoid.
