Mastery Tokens in RGM

I know Riot has said that you can't get mastery tokens from RGM modes, but I can't tell if that's working. When mastery 6 and 7 came out, URF was the mode, and I distinctly remember getting tokens from it for multiple champs. Did they only recently make them unobtainable in these modes? Or are they still obtainable in SR based RGM modes?

They recently made it not possible to gain them on RGM. I too was able to gain Mastery Tokens on URF, but it was as of patch 6.12 where they stated that its only available on Normal/Ranked SR Queues. Might be one of the reasons URF was removed from the queue as it might be hard for them to program it to not be allowed since it is still using SR.
