Many melee chamions can't viably dodge Ornn's W. So they have to back off and wait til the Brittle wears off. Sadly this debuff lasts like 9 years and a few levels later his W cooldown is the same as his Brittle debuff duration, making it impossible for some melees to ever have a window of opportunity to fight him.

BeatzBoyFTW2 votesUhh his Brittle debuff only applies at the last tick, Ornn can't move his W direction during the cast, and his W doesn't apply CC. So technically if he already uses W, you can literally just sidestep it.
#But he can just apply it with his QE combo!
His Q is pretty easy to juke off if you think about it. Constantly make fake moves as if you're going for some minion kills, and let him waste his Q. Also advice-able to avoid standing near walls. Also want to note that this whole combo can really starve his mana out, unless he takes that Mana Ring runes on him.

Anonagon1 votesI agree. I also think his W duration (but not total damage) should be increased, so that sidestepping it as a melee is actually viable counterplay (which it hasn't been since the range buff it got).
