I used to think, hey 10 bans this is going to make the game interesting, but now I feel it's completely flipped ranked out of proportion.

That's why I prefer playing normals. My normal games are more competitive and fun to play than ranked.

If you can't counter pick a champion, then perhaps the problem is that that particular champion has too few counter picks in the first place.
