Can we just remove the health drain on Ardent Censer outright?

You guys are looking at nerfing the numbers to a set amount rather than just get rid of this utterly stupid idea.

You put more sustain on an item that helps champions give increased sustain to other champions. So your plan for this item is to increase the increase?

Like, what the hell is the logic here again?

I wasn't aware 35 on hit heal was a lot. it's only really good if you have multiple auto attack based champions that are willing to utilise the buff and/or are lulu with a hypercarry. and then it's awesome buy it every game. otherwise censer and redemption provide much better and more stable heals.

Procs on Runaan's. Increases with attack speed on an item that increases attack speed. Probably one of the reasons Twitch is a massive nightmare to deal with right now because it also procs on his ult for each enemy hit by it.

It's also not a heal. It's a drain, meaning it's taking health from the enemy as well. It's bonus damage on more bonus damage with bonus healing on more bonus healing which for a cheap as fuck item is probably the most moronic balancing ever.

It's also on all of your shields given to allies, meaning Locket with Ardent is a thing.

I know it's a drain. I didn't mention it because 35 damage can sometimes be more useless than 35 heal, which is at least noticeable on squishies.

I did not know about the locket scaling, that I'd probably remove because I don't think shield/heal power works on locket being a separate item from the base kit.

Later on it's not.

But at around 150-170 AD (when you finish your first big AD item and the support picks up his Ardent) 27-28 life on hit is almost 20% lifesteal.

So it's pretty impactful even if it feels like it isn't.

so good early game power on an item that typically scales with hypercarries.

I getcha. maybe nerf the early game numbers a bit so it's saved as a second/third item buy

That's not what Riot decided to do. They're nerfing it from 20-35 %AS and 20-35 heal on hit to flat 25.

It'll just be weaker overall since you won't be getting the item until level 7-8 (by which it evens out).

... why? [zombie-brand-clap]

the health drain/on hit is what makes the item, i couldnt care less about its other stats.

It was like that. For years. You don't remember because the item without it was ignored and was garbage.
