I was thinking with her abuse of Klepto, though I don't think that's the reason she's OP by a long shot mind you, that she might also be a potential candidate to purchase to cover her increased mana consumption?

The goal with her to is to have as safe and reliable a laning/farming phase as possible and hit more and more power spikes as the game drags on. This item gives her a sizable mana pool and lane sustain to keep farming with Klepto. In addition, she has mana stacking off the Triforce for some extra punch.

Couple this with her AD ratios actually being better and crit/trinity build making waves, would this not be great on her?

Ezreal HAS a safe laning phase as long as he has mana. That's how he can do the tear tradeoff and spend 600 gold to get 0 combat stats.

Kayle has to STRUGGLE to stay safe in the lane phase. She absolutely needs stats on every early buy or her lane opponent can grab a could long swords and a ruby crystal and then dive her over and over again.

With her being able to spam Q W E more in lane? Unlikely. Anyone smart will sit under tower and only poke when they have E up.

The wave isn't always frozen in front of the turret and the turret doesn't really keep Kayle safe.
