Can we please stop designing unavoidable skill shots like Pantheon's Q?
This is a similar problem to Fizz ult, but Fizz's ult has some animation lock to reel it in, while Pantheon's Q is instant.
His Q moves at 1500 units / second, with a range of 1200 units. The diameter of most champions is around 150 units. With 390 movement speed, you move 150 units in about 0.4 seconds, during which time his Q can travel 600 units.
If you're closer than 600 units, and Pantheon throws his spear at the center of your champion, it's not possible to sidestep it in time, even if you react instantly.
In reality, it's also quite a bit more than 600 units, because this isn't including the width of the spear, and you lose 0.1 to 0.2 seconds to delay in reaction, latency, and giving the movement command. If you factor those in, it becomes incredibly hard to avoid around 800 units.
This is the primary reason he's such a top tier pick in both mid and top right now. Most mid to low range champions can't avoid the spear and can't easily retaliate, as he chunks them down from a safe range, without having any of the inherent weaknesses of a ranged champion.
If we're going to keep adding skill shots that move too fast to be reasonably avoided outside of max range to the game, can we at least put them on higher cooldowns or make sure they're relatively weak?
