The game feels so flow-charty now.

It’s basically just the same pattern to victory every game.

  1. Get even a tiny lead on the enemy
  2. Freeze until you have a monstrous wave
  3. Force enemy out of lane knowing full well they can’t trade into your wave
  4. Crash your wave and collect 320-480 gold in turret plates and get over a 1k gold lead
  5. Recall, come back to lane and hard stomp with your item lead until you win
  6. Continue your snowball until you can just beat people over the head with your stat advantage.

I mean sure. The first couple minutes fighting over wave control and level 2-3-6 power spikes happens for a small amount of time, but between and after that, there is no real variance. It’s either you get that small advantage and collect your win, or you’re the one biting the pillow as they run through you.

Not to mention how horrible it feels being on the losing end. It used to be if you fell behind, you could attempt to keep up by just playing it safe, getting safe cs and then being useful in team fights. But that just doesn’t work anymore. It’s just hard stomp or being hard stomped.

While high highs and low lows are a fine concept, it’s gets old extremely quickly.

The game has always been snowbally. Catch-up EXP and Shutdowns were added to make the game less snowbally but it still happens. This isn't something new. Its been the name of the game for the MOBA genre since DOTA Allstars back in 2004 FFS.

Maybe it feels to you like its harder to come back now because people are learning how to wave control but do we really want to go back to a time when people were worse at the game? That's not a solution to anything.

There is a difference between the game being snowbally and there not being a snowballs chance in hell for comebacks anymore.

Those steps have always been the steps to building a small lead into a larger one. So i dont get whats the issue if this is what you're having an issue with. Maybe now you're just a better player and realizing it as opposed to maybe your skill in the past.

It’s being seen even in high level play. You used to be able to manage a comeback if you fell behind by playing safe, and being useful in team fights.

That doesn’t work anymore. It’s all just beating each other over the head with stat sticks now. You used to need around a full item lead to invalidate your laner. Now it’s done with just a long sword advantage. Falling behind 10 cs should not be nearly as devastating as it is now. There is no outplay. Team comps no longer matter.

I agree with this mostly.

Where this made me laugh because of the jargon, i cant agree with it completely. Which is why i agree mostly with the previous statement. Comebacks are still applicable but consider large amount of messing up or just not playing properly by the enemy team to happen.

I feel this is a bit exaggerated but i can understand where your coming from.

I defintely agree with this due to the large amounts of dmg in the current game. Its whoever strikes first wins.

I wish the long sword thing was exaggerated but it really isn’t. Just think of the difference between a pickaxE and a bf Sword in botlane.

That differences used to mean you weren’t going to get kills as the pickaxe guy, but you weren’t going to be zoned and frozen on for the entire game.

Now it means you are going to be zoned out of even exp range with the threat of instant death.
