Faker just proved that Cassiopeia needs major nerfs

That MSI game showed, without a single doubt, that Cass needs to be majorly nerfed. She was set WAY behind early game but it didn't matter at all since the champion design is incredibly broken. Any champ in that situation, let alone a hyper carry, should literally be a non factor for at least 20 minutes.

Cass's early and mid game needs nerfed for sure. She is a lane bully and a hyper carry, you can't have both on one champion. For god's sake, she soloed elder dragon at 36 minutes despite being stomped early game. Not even a hyper carry should be able to do that.

Pro play is completely different from solo queue. If you get set behind in solo queue things will happen that will keep you behind, it's not like pro play that focus more on farm.

There are definite differences between pro and solo play. However, when ANY champion gets beaten that hard in lane, they should be a non-factor in the game for a significant amount of time. That's how the risk/reward thing is supposed to work. If you pick a hyper carry, you are taking a huge risk that you will fall behind early and not be able to come online before the game is decided.

That's why every hyper carry in the game should have the absolute worst early games.

According to boards logic its totally fair and balanced for a mage to be a lane bully and hyperscalinng mage that also melts tank because its a mage :)

The problem is that it isn't just mages anymore. Twitch and Vayne have good laning phases is just another example. Old Twitch was the perfect hyper carry, his early game was garbage, but he could 1v5 late game.

There are champions who can solo baron at 20 minutes with 1.5 items. Soloing dragon at 36 minutes is nothing.

Cassio needs a nerf like this

(Live) Cassiopeia launches her fangs at the target enemy, dealing them 52 - 120 (based on level) (+ 10% AP) magic damage. If Twin Fang kills its target, it refunds its mana cost. If the target is Poison icon poisoned, Twin Fang deals bonus magic damage and heals Cassiopeia for 5 - 22 (based on level) (+ 10% AP). BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE: 10 / 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 (+ 35% AP)

(Proposed Change) Cassiopeia launches her fangs at the target enemy, dealing them 20 - 120 (based on level) (+ 10% AP) magic damage. If Twin Fang kills its target, it refunds its mana cost. If the target is Poison icon poisoned, Twin Fang deals bonus magic damage and heals Cassiopeia for 5 - 22 (based on level) (+ 10% AP). BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE: 10 / 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 (+ 15/20/25/30/35% AP)

And do this to pretty much all her abilities. Reduce their early stats but keep the late stats. This makes her early and mid weaker but keeps her late right where it is.

I agree. Nerf the early stats and keep the late ones. This would make her a much healthier champion.

People complaining that a champ with a 48% win rate is OP but ignoring the fact the most broken player in the world was playing her.

I would hardly consider Faker broken at this point in his career. There are SEVERAL mids worldwide who have beaten him soundly in lane and in 1v1s.

To be completely honest, I don't think Faker is even the best player on SKT.

I clicked in like 30 sec before it happened. I saw Cassio start to solo Elder and not take damage. I was like "LULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULULUL BALANCED"

despite the fact that i do thing Cassiopeia can certainly do with a bit of love taps (with a sledgehammer). i dont really see how what faker can do with a champion is relevant to what is mortals can do with it.

i mean you can probably put faker in a 1v5 vs 5 diamonds and he would win as ADC Anivia you can't use faker for any sort of balance thread...

The thing is that people watch him play and see what a champion is capable of, then emulate it. Mechanically, there are several pro players that can duplicate what they see Faker do.

Hell, Maple outplayed Faker in a couple games today. So it isn't just Faker being able to do these things.
