Ranked Match Making system 2k18 : How does the MM algorithm works ? It seems a complete mess
Hello,
this year more than any year in the past i think that there are many things wrong about the ranked match making system. Here is what is actually hapenning in ranked games
You will have half of the times get lower elo players in your team when the opponent team has more higher elo players. This really isn't big issue at high elo because over plat elo everyone knows how to play the game (farming, map control, overall game vision) and know every abilities from the champs. However if you are gold or near close to gold getting silvers or even bronzes it's a terrible mistake.
Here is why :
- Many bronzes and silvers don't know every character in the game and their abilities i had a twitch last game he didn't even know that ivern existed...
- Many bronzes and silvers base their playing on streaming videos and they want to try crazy things when they shouldnt like playing lucian mid against fizz
- New players are being placed in higher elo that they should but they clearly don't have the level : i had a shyvana that was crying all the game saying she didn't have the level to be in silver and that she felt sorry for us even if we did win.
- At Bronze/silver elo many players don't take ranked seriously they think it's like a normal game.
I don't understand why riot doesn't make it like this :
You should only play with or against players above or under one rank or equal to yours.
Silver I players should only play with and against S2 S1 and GV Plat 2 players should only play with and against P1 P2 and P3
I'm not worried about my objective of reaching gold this year (i just do it for the skin) cause i know that i have the level already did go 3 times in promos each time it was getting closer but getting trolls isn't easy... it's frustrating to have lucian jungle or mid when they don't know what they are doing...
I'm worried about the fact that riot is making this game a real mess and that there are some very good players getting hard times to climb...
