why do point and click debuffs example: nasus W still target spellshields like morgana E /yi ult?

why isnt there a message saying "target is spellshielded or cannot be slowed" since it requires actual damage to pierce it. i dont mind it being used on single use spell shields like banshees. but if the spell dont work on target why is it possible to waste such spell on a immune target thats immortal to THAT specific CC?

Because the visual indicator is a clearly defined purple crystal around the champion. If youve never seen morgana before it takes 5 seconda for someone to explain "hey her spell shield is a thing"

Mostly because if someone spellshields right before they think you're going to click and they're right, they deserve to block your spell because they timed it well, if you misclick you deserve to have your spell blocked for messing up, and if you try to use a spell on a target who is immune to it that's really your own fault for using it then.
