PSA: Don't play champions you can't play

The Deckowner··10 votes·651 views

For all the flashy cool looking champions(yasuo leesin riven zed leblanc etc etc), if you don't have the mechanics or experience to play the champion, just don't play him/her/it/them.

Ask yourself these questions: Are u a diamond smurf? Do you have at least 50 games with the champion? Do you have decent internet connection? Do you have decent fps?

If your answer is no, maybe u should reconsider playing these champs in ur ranked game.

"Do you have decent internet connection?" If the answer is a no. You should either fix it, or simply go play something else.

true lol

Idk why this is downvoted, its just common knowledge to know how to play your champ before ranking -____-

what if i want to try out a game with seroius players, so i can easily find out what his/her/its/their weaknesses are?

The Deckowner1 votes

do it in normals

Kallian1 votes

normals is a place of much more casual play, you rarely have anyone in there with the mindset of "I came to win"

The Deckowner1 votes

Honestly with Dynamic Queue, ranked games had become more troll and casual now a day. it is sad.

a lot of people play normals seriously, not everyone has the "I'm just playing a video game it doesn't matter at all I can play with one hand while writing essay and watching youtube at the same time" kind of mindset.

Athenes Lulu1 votes

If anything, people are more serious in normals than in ranked.

AATTRROOXX1 votes

In general or ranked only?

The Deckowner4 votes

well do w/e in normals, there is no reason to critisize anyone for playing the champion they want in normal games.

AATTRROOXX1 votes

That being the case, 50 games on a single champion is a rather hefty amount, albeit not unreasonable. Over 20 for a less skill requiring champion or a champion with similar mechanics to one you main should be an acceptable amount.

Besides that having decent wi-fi varies greatly depending on money/location. Decent internet is nice, but a better requirement is stable internet that will be consistent throughout play.

Also decent fps is not a requirement for this game, yes it helps with smoother graphics, but playing at 30-40 fps is not impossible and may be a necessity for players without budgets to spend on better computers.

The Deckowner1 votes

I'm using 50 as an.example, yes some champion takes less experience to reach the skillfloor, but for those I listed 50 games is actually pretty medium.

for fps and internet i think u just have higher standard than mine lol. By decent connection all Im saying is around <50 ping and decnent fps is just 30+. I had played with crappy internet and computer, 150 ping might be fine for some champions but I find it extremely difficult to play champions with skillshot/bunch of dash/combo in short time frame. 30+fps should run the game smoothly but I have had 10fps games, holy crap dont even wanna mention it right now.

is playing LeBlanc with like 250 games experience in ranked ok?

The Deckowner1 votes

@_@idk man I am very inexperienced with LB, but i think she is kinda at the easier side

Michael Sykes1 votes

just kidding, I perform very good on her. She is easy to learn, but there are many situations which are not easy to handle for her. That's the reason she has a low winrate for beginners. I think you are somehow right, of course it does not make sense to play some champions in ranked when the player does not know how to use them, but if a bronze player wants to main lee sin, he still should try it. Your post looks like you don't want "low" elo players to play harder champions.

The Deckowner1 votes

u know the diamond smurf part is just a joke lol

but honestly I have never seem a decent lee sin in my elo

Friendly Ram1 votes

Um don't think this is the correct place for airing dirty laundry but many champions play simmilarly enough to play them in ranked if your main got banned

The Deckowner1 votes

but the LC$BIGPLAY champions are all unique in some way. Like there is no one who has a similar play style as yasuo.

Friendly Ram1 votes

Mearp I'm just finding this kinda silly is all.

I like how this got downvoted because the title is mildly misleading.

It's obvious that Ranked you shouldn't be doing stuff like this because you normally just become dead weight. Don't exactly know why this needs an actual PSA.

The Deckowner1 votes

I made this post cuz I realized there are quite a lot of these players playing "OP cool looking" champions that they arent experienced with in ranked games and caused very negative game experiences. especially in cases where the champion does not fit into the team comp and enemy already locked in the hard counter of that champion.(IE instant lock yasuo when enemy first pick was malzahar)

Athenes Lulu1 votes

Pretty much this.

Though FPS doesn't really matter since I have played League on consistent 20 FPS and is doing completely fine.

The Deckowner1 votes

oh on my old computer i had 10~30 fps inconsistantly which often makes me feel like everything is teleporting...i'm playing with about 30 cinsistantly RN and doesnt seem to have problem, i guess 20 can work too.

Cowardly Clown1 votes

Just a note: you need to play champions to learn them...True you shouldn't play Zed for the first time in ranked but stop whining
