Anivias laning phase is just... stupid..

Takes about 60%+ of your health instantly with QE at level 2

You somehow manage to kill her? Nvm she has two health bars and you only have 6 seconds to kill the second one (and nobody else can 100-0 someone in 6 seconds before levels 8-9).

All-ins you at level 6 with an ult, a wall to keep you in, and another 60-70% of your health QE burst

You burned flash and escaped? Doesnt matter, her ult is on a 3-second cooldown and she'll do this again immediately.

Maybe she roams bot and gets a free double when their flashes are down (because nobodys escaping anivia without flash if she uses her wall competently.)

Dodge her Q and all in her, that's basically all you need to do to kill the bird. Her Q is extremly slow and easy to dodge if you don't fuck up completly. When her Q is out, all in her and wait for her to use the ult and then CC her to interupt it. At this point she is left with no source of dmg and if you stay close to her she will most likely not be able to wall you off, making her realtivly easy to kill. Also she is extremly unmobile, making her not only an easy targets for ganks (again, bait the Q out first) but also making her a bad roaming champ if you warded correctly. She is not like Corki who is in bot in like 1 second. She is also very hungry for mana in the early game, use this to your advantage and force her to stay on lane.

Another tip to kill her if you have Ignite : Don't ignite her when she still has the passive up and you plan to solo kill her. Going into the egg form will cleanse the ignite from her, taking away a good source of dmg. Always wait 'till she is an egg and then ignite her if needed.

funny how Anivia mains are telling you how to counter their champion. if she misses q engage on her. also if your playing soraka or a champion with cc she cant recast q and cant channel if affected by cc of any kind.

So when she does 60% of your health (which is a lie actually, it's more like 40%ish, maybe 50% at most and that is counting TLD) What do you do when she does that to you? Do you just walk away and complain? Because that is how you easily give her a free trade, Q + E is her entire laning phase pre level 6, all she has after that is her AA's which is one of the slowest in the game. Just fight her since she wont have her Q up for like 12-13 seconds and her E is worthless without target being chilled. Also all forms of dashes can escape the wall, which a lot of champions in the game has one.

As a regular Anivia player, I can say her laning is really poor before she gets R to wave clear. She is extremely mana intensive and W is on a long cooldown. It's extremely easy to just go tit for tat with her farming while she runs out of mana. If the wave gets pushed under her tower she's forced to then waste that mana to get last-hits and is fresh out after only a couple of E's, at which point she can do nothing but try to pick up one or two cs while she gets poked under tower and is forced to back.

Even after item 3070 item 3010 her costs are still so high that she'll easily run out before just about any common mid pick. Oh and of course the fact that when she's building mana her opponent is building damage and can burst her down without a hitch.

The thing I hate about her, is that laning vs anivia just stops being interactive at level 6. They just sit back with their ult and assuming roa tear build+ their passive... Yeah your not killing her, and they are not going oom either. You will only win vs her if she is playing over aggresive and your jungler camps her, especially pre 6.

Even with Tear she hits 50% mana after 4 seconds of her ult. She also does no damage by going with tear so any assassin can all-in her with little fear of retaliation. She's a zoning character who has a very limited resource to zone with.
