In my opinion it would give Morgana more counter-play throughout the game. The magic shield can be unfair and downright broken in most if not all cases where the person who was targeted can go off scot-free without any worries when they should have been punished. Would changing it be too much? I personally don't think think so as it's very annoying to deal with especially if you're a physical dealing champion.

Anyway you cant judge a champion based on one ability. There are spells stronger than the shield. Would you remove Braums unbreakable too? Or Threshes Dark Passage? Strong abilities create room for diversity and make the game fun.
Morganas issue is her whole kit. Her Q hitbox is the size of a truck and has a laughable mana cost. Shields duration is too long. Her numbers are outdated and it works in her favor.

Strong abilities with counterplay make the game fun. Black Shield's only counterplay is praying you have a mage nearby that can break the shield and still apply CC. It's an excruciatingly poorly designed ability.
But you just said that strong abilities create room for diversity and make the game fun. How is Black Shield fun for anyone, but Dark Binding a social faux pas? Oh, right, you arbitrarily decided that, despite a high damage single-target skillshot being reasonable design and 5 second of CC immunity being completely ludicrous by every definition.

Many spells have NO counterplay if executed properly. What is the counterplay to Braums unbreakable? Or Thresh's ANY ability? Or Sivirs spellshield? What is the counterplay to Kayles ult? You know, thats not how counterplay works.
I say Black Shield creates room for diversity because it protects immobile adcs from the likes of Vi. You go and write down the description of her spell with some aditional adjectives so people know you mean buisness. Way to make a constructive argument.

Also, throwing a tantrum about Braum, Thresh, Sivir, etc. doesn't really prove your point. Like, at all. In any way, shape, or form. All it does is prove you're a sad Morgana main who desperately needs black shield because positioning is too hard.
As an addendum, counterplay to Unbreakable is CCing Braum so he can't defend his ally, counterplay to Spell Shield is breaking it with a single weak ability then following it up with a strong one (as opposed to Morg's which is breaking it with all of your abilities and praying somebody else brought CC), counterplay to Kayle's ULT is, again, CC, counterplay to Thresh is forcing him into bad engages or simply harassing the shit out of him as he has no inherent sustain and requires clear line of sight for his hook. Sooo yeah. There goes your entire argument. Done yet?

My advice for you is to play supports like Nami, Sona or Lulu so you can easily break Morganas shield, because its only 70 units strong at level 1 and no Morgana will level up it first.
CC doesnt count as a counter for abilities, Thats like saying everyone have counters except for Olaf and Morgana, because they are about the only champions that cant be cced. My point is that many abilities have counterplay limited to "just wait it out". Morgana shield would be fine if it wasnt for its duration. Also, funny how you included whole Threshs kit in your rant but you still focus on Morgana shield alone.
About me being a sad Morgana main (i shouldnt even reply to it, but well) Id like to remind you that the whole discussion here is because I say her whole kit is a problem and you claim its her shield alone.

Bot lane, playing support Morgana. Ally : Varus, Enemy combo : Vayne, and Braum.
Little bit into laning phase, Braum lands a Q on Varus and vayne lands two hits on him. Varus' flash is down and there's no help coming from the jungle. (We're purple side). I'm in the bush and have now shielded Varus to save him from the passive stun. However I'm now defenseless myself. Vayne switches targets, tumbles next to me and stuns me into a wall resulting in my death.
TL;DR : DUH DON'T TARGET PEOPLE SHE'S SHIELDED. BAIT HER SHIELD AND THE GO FOR HER OR THE NEXT SQUISHY.

adc is a priority target if you will wait for the shield to expire you have no chances of winning, oh and dont forget that morgana has zhonyas and penta stun, all she realy wants is you to waste your time on her while her team eats you
she does too much for a support and is not exactly the best midder, riot should make her ult channelshorter, snare dodgeable, shield should be breakable for other ppl that ap carries, and she should have lower base damage with higher scaling

its kayle type of problem, she got nurfd cause she was doing too much as a midder while being a good support, morgana does not doo as much as a midder but she is an insane support
also the words "you miss the point " i lold at that, so if kayle is not making her entire team untouchable she is useless the point is that she makes one guy who is IMPORTANT untouchable and morgana does the same
