How did you find your main(s)?

What brought you to the champions you play the most?

For me I'm not sure what initially brought me towards GP (pre-rework LB was my first champion), but I'm sure his voice over was a large part of it. He makes this game so much fun and a lot easier for me to play.

I am not entirely sure why I first played Taric, but the reason I kept playing him was because he made people laugh.

At the time he was commonly considered to be one of the 5 worst champions in the game, up there with Urgot, Galio, and Yorick. However his joke spam combined with his ability to deal a surprising amount of damage and pull clutch 1v2 kills led to vast amounts of hilarity. He was a goofy champion that no one could take seriously, but vs players that didn't know how to fight him (and I met gold+ players that didn't know what his passive was) he was surprisingly strong, especially when ahead due to being a tank who's damage scaled with Armour.

Even when you were crushing lane as him no one could take him seriously and he just made everyone in the game have a good time. I don't think I ever met someone who was salty after being killed by a Taric. I remember Taric as the champion that you could crush a Riven top with and instead of being salty she would just be laughing in /ALL chat. I once dived a full health GP under his turret by myself, then killed both him and their Lee Sin jungler that came to stop me before walking out at half HP. I tanked a good 10 tower shots and it was around the 15 minute mark (Back in early season 5 too) No one complained about Taric being OP because they were too busy laughing about a fed Taric top lane.

Basically I was a Taric main because he made others have a good time just by being in the game.

The stories about how people end up maining a supp are always the most interesting to me. I feel kind of bad because whenever I do end up playing supp I do end up having more fun than I think I will. That top lane story was delightful hahahaha

Old Taric top was a bit silly. I never failed to get first blood vs a Riven as top lane Taric. The trick is waiting for the level 2 powerspike. Not your powerspike of course, the Riven's powerspike so they get cocky and try to all in you with a level advantage + ignite. The number of Rivens I have killed while ignited as a lvl 1 Taric vs a lvl 2 Riven would surprise you.

Shame it is one of his worst matchups now. RIP delayed skillshots, too hard.

Akali was the first champion I bought in the game and I've played her everyday since.

Played every single champion in the game at leaast 3 times, save the ones you like and slowly continue playing the ones you like until you can weed them out and learn more about playing them.

Occasionally you might want to retry a champ you didn't like before due to learning something from another champ too but eventually you'll lower the amount of champions you like by quite a lot. Overall you shouldn't just play things because they're op but because of preference and how well comfortable you feel on them.

For ex. karthus, I like him but I don't always have patience for early game more with him so I don't add want to practice him further even though in the past I did main him.

Even if a champ is OP if I don't like them I don't bother. Been playing for several years and narrowed it down to 3-5 depending on the role. (Although recently I havn't been practicing adc/jng like I use to)

My playstyle switches from poke-passive to all-in very quickly; Xerath and top lane Rek'sai.

(Also Rito really needs to give Rek better durability. She can't teamfight.)

Interesting mix of styles you got there, I think Reksai had more durability before her mini work if I remember right but I havent kept up with that champion

After playing for about a month, i was looking for a new champion to pick up (I'd gone through the usual Garen MasterYi phase), and I saw these two ninjas. Shen and Zed. I love ninjas, so I was like, aight cool. So I look through their abilities and whatnot, and I'm like wow, shen seems like a total badass. So I bought shen item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070

So about 2-3 games later I realized what a horrible mistake I'd made, I absolutely hated his kit (now that he's been reworked I find myself missing it). But then a blessing came along. URF. And with URF, was zed. I think he was on free week, I'm really not sure. But I found myself playing him and I loved it. So I worked up enough Ip to buy him, and started spamming him in games. One of my friends from school bought me shock blade zed (bless him) and that pretty much sealed the deal. It was love at first blood.

I had many mains my first main was skarner, then i played a ton of gnar, then i tried mid lane and played ahri and lux, I haven't stopped playing ahri since.

Well, I quickly discovered that I suck at this game. So, I figured that since I was going to be dying a lot, I might as well pick a Champion whose dying sounds I enjoy hearing.

Hence, Ahri
