Idea for less toxic games.

I was playing Ascension yesterday and there was a very salty lucian. He was shit talking both teams. Anyway I was thinking about how there should be a notification that you're about to go in a game with a salty player. It will reset every month, but it would be like this. yellow name means they've been reported once. Orange name would mean they've been reported 3 times. Red name would mean they've been reported 10 times. You would be able to see their name highlighted in these colors in loading screen and in-game.

What would that do? I know he is toxic but I still have to play with him, so what did you accomplish other than to make people preemptively attack hi before he can say anything, or try to tilt him cause it's easy?

No thanks.

Okay, so how would that help? What's the mechanism that would cause this result?

To me, that just sounds like "idea for more game dodges" if people dodge to avoid the player. If anything that's going to make it worse because people are going to get irritated because they can't get into a game and you've given everyone ammunition to harass the so-called "toxic" player with, another topic to argue on, and you would, ironically, pre-emptively poison the environment of the game. And on top of that, I would bet that everyone would have an orange mark, at least, mid-way through the month if they played League for any amount of time that month.

You would be able to see it in the loading screen, not the client. it would help so you know who to /mute

But the problem is the enemy team here. If they can see you tilt easily, they WILL take that advantage if they can. 1 tilt = less synergy, therefore poorer teamwork

You need to be this tall to understand what the thread is about.

Okay, you can't dodge. That doesn't address the other half dozen problems nor justify its implementation.

It's a bad idea and I am against anything that encourages League to be even more of a toxic, spiteful, backstabby environment than it is.
