It would be nice if AD Assassins had some way to actually deal with armor.

Wouldn't have to be as strong as old Last Whisper but currently they can't really utilize the updated Last Whisper very well and black cleaver doesn't really do the trick for assassinating a pesky with (nearly 200 armor if he has and ).

I was thinking something along the lines of:

+ 50 AD 18 Lethality Unique Passive Last Whisper: Gain 20% Bonus Armor Penetration Unique Passive: (Melee Only) Gain 10% Bonus Armor Penetration per 18 lethality you have

Would be a bad rush item because it needs 2 lethality items to be on par with other last whisper, melee only because ADCs can frick off.

AD assassins jobs aren’t to deal with champions who build defenses, (that’s actually supposed to be a big weakness). If assassins could take out champions who build 2+ armor items they’d be nerfed into the ground. While your suggestions aren’t broken keep in mind that that build on Ezreal does sacrifice a lot of mid game damage in exchange for the tank stats and utility on Iceborn slow. Plus there’s still item 3071 which isn’t bad as a 3rd item on Zed Talon or Rengar

AD assassins aren't the problem, the issue is "you shouldn't deal damage, be ranged and be tanky enough to tank assassins" at the same time.

Hence the existence of these items is purely a mistake : item 3156 item 3812 item 3046

you mean the 3 lethality items, black cleaver and last whisper that you already can build and cost less than most of the other items in the game? Yeah damn you riot for not giving them a chance....
