Rengar needs to be fixed.

As a Rengar main, I'm especially unhappy with his his rework. Mainly the ult change. (And feel as though it's the reason Rengar is now better off as a bruiser/tank)

New ult makes hunting impossible in mid/late game, which is turning him into a bruiser/tank.

In terms of an assassin play style, the warning range is absurd and enemies see you coming from a mile away and just run off to their hidden team mates. I feel like ulting and hunting down a target as an assassin in the mid/late game, is basically baiting yourself most of the time. The reason he's banned so often is because his early game is ridiculous. He snowballs too fast with his passive, and he quickly becomes a bruiser/tank with a ton of damage.

His W is also best suited for a tankier play style. I say gut it (remove the cleanse), and nerf the passive so his early game isn't so absurd. To compensate, return the ult warning back to the way it once was, so we can hunt again, and actually play Rengar like an assassin in the mid/late game. Either that, or revert Rengar to the way he was pre rework (without the clunky E that flies over enemies heads).

Hes more of an assassin now than he ever was. Now he lunges and can disable CC. That seems fairly assassin to me. He can get in, then get out. Some kits are not designed for late game, hence why some fall off mid game and some get stronger late game.

He can't disable CC until he has enough stacks to do so.. which means choosing empowered W over Q, thus lowering burst damage, meaning you'll fail to kill your target in mid/late game, since you didn't empower Q. (which will most likely fail anyways since they knew you were coming from a mile away) The cleanse is only good as a bruiser/tank, when you are able to get off multiple rotations of your spells during a fight so you can afford to choose W over Q.

Assassin Rengar only works when you're insanely ahead and can deal with more than one person, or if you're lucky enough to hunt someone who doesn't have a bunch of team mates hiding nearby.

Being able to hunt with "Assassin" Rengar completely relies on those two situations.

You also have to look at other assassins. Do you think they have an easy time getting to the back line without being utterly destroyed late game?

You use your arguments in a sense where he has to excel in everything. His kit is like that to keep him from being way to strong late game. You are given a choice. Kill the target and possibly live, or dont kill them but deal a lot of damage and possibly start a team fight. You are trying to make him into a perfect assassin which is where youre going wronog. Late game isnt a sense of how easily you can take out a single target alone. (If youre able to kill a lone target away from the team then good on you) But late game isnt meant to be the assassins area of expertise.

Rengar deals a crap ton of damage, and yes his ult is more expectable, but thats the point. You are supposed to expect the ult, but being jumped on is still something to not reckon with. He is a good assassin right now because of those attributes. Youre being very self centered about your ideas. He cant be perfect as an assassin, you just have to work with what you have.
