you can easily tell if you go to your profile and it shows placements instead of a rank.

January 23rd is the first official day of ranked. Tip: If you can win games in the preseason, try to get as high as possible. Your Preseason Rank is going to be factored into your starting point per game in your placements.

And your placements will adjust your rank by LARGE amounts of LP without actually having to do promotions, so you can realistically promote from Silver IV to Silver II or I during your placements..... or from Silver I to Gold IV - III.

That will save you a LOT of games. (But only if you can win in preseason while people are almost across the board hard inting and trolling their teams).

That is not the way they have described it. They've described the method as: Your starting point for your placements will be where you are before your first game in placements. You will not lose rank based on Losses, but your rank will increase fast based on wins.

If you have contrary statements, by all means. Post them.

(If it didn't factor, Diamonds and Challengers would be in the same games as you, stomping your face in. You care going to have your baseline set around your performance to avoid that. That happened at the beginning of Season 6, and they reset ranked settings 2 weeks later. Ironically, My other smurf account placed Gold I the first time. The second time placed Silver I. Quite screwed up).

Ummm the ask riot stated that only your end season rank was taken into account. And that your preseason rank didnt really do anything.

Maybe it'll be different since the system is changing. But thats what they said.

Although if i remember right they stated that all accounts ranks will be completely reset for this season, our first match's performance will decide our new starting point, then we will be able to climb.
