Jinx

Out of all the ADCs, she's feels so awkward, and pretty tough to use. Her only method of getting away is her E, and you can just walk around it. She probably is the most skill-based adc, seeing as her AA is her only point and click ability and you have to aim everything else. Idk, in the face of other ADCs which have methods of giving themselves a method of escape or protection without the need to flash, Jinx feels really out of place to me.

Most skill based adc is jinx???? over someone like draven where it's one of the most mechanically intense champion in team fights and if you don't believe me trying juggling 3 axes well dodging cc etc.

Mechanics are only part of your skills.

There's also positioning, decision-making, and a swathe of miscellaneous ones such as CS or lane timing.

Compared to Draven, Jinx has to worry a lot more about her escape potential simply because she doesn't own up to the damage he has. Then there's the general difficulty in using any of her skills.

If you're going to spout about skill requirements, Kog'Maw should've been your go-to.

Hear me out kog maw has 700 range with his w jinx has 700 range too. Draven has 550 Draven has to catch axes to have decent dps since he does not have armour shred or aoe crits, just raw damage if he doesn't catch axes his dps falls incredibly low to one of the worst adc damages in the game. Not to mention he has a mini indicator for skill shots to shot out which makes it really easy to cc a draven if he tries to catch an axe. And to add on longer range adc have easier time positioning than short range adc's such as vayne Lucian graves etc.

All of Draven's difficulty mostly involves attack-move and overlapping skills. Everything else is experienced already by other ADCs.

Kog'Maw has to do attack-move without any mobility assets (at minimum MS), his attacks don't benefit nearly as much from lifesteal, his ult has to be properly used during fights and managed so as to not waste mana, and his passive has to also be planned upon because it's death-dependant. Kog'Maw is predictable in general because he's so vulnerable, while at least Draven can choose not to follow his axe.

I did say probably, I don't play draven lol. Being Jinx though you really have to watch when you enter teamfights because you should contribute more than an ult missile.

I'd say Ezreal is either on equal par or more skill-based than Jinx, simply because all his abilities are skill shots (he has 1 more skill shot than her, since her Q is technically just AA.)

But as a Jinx main, I'd say you're definitely correct; she has only one escape method, and you have to be careful when you use it-- I've been in too many games as a support where the Jinx will just throw out her E at random times, leaving the enemy to freely engage on her. To play her effectively, you need a support with good peel and/or CC (Thresh Janna Leona ) or a support with harass and heals (Soraka Nami ). Know when to use your Chompers. To engage, wait until your support lands a hard CC ability, or when the enemy is very slow, then throw your E behind them; to escape, throw them on top of yourself so they have enough time to activate.

And if you're getting CC'ed to death, get a Quick Silver Sash. It could save your life if flash is on cooldown. Hope this helps make it easier if you plan to play Jinx again!

Will do sir :D I believe part of the release I've been struggling is because I play a lot of blind pick and sometimes people don't even play actual supps so sometimes I have no peel. I think one of her main strengths is in her poke, so I feel like I have to become proficient in utilizing it.

If you don't have a support for peel, CS with your rockets, and try your best to stay behind minions (especially if there's an enemy Thresh waiting in the bush). To poke, use your W; if they're standing behind a minion, wait until you know the minion is about to die, and shoot it just as the last bits of damage are hitting it. Or, position yourself to hit them (and Zap is also great for checking bushes).

You can also poke with your rockets. If your enemy is standing near a minion that's about to die, you can just last hit that minion with your rocket, and the AOE will hit your opponent as well! You can also hit them with your rockets when they walk up to CS. Jinx's rockets are her best poke since it does AOE, and you can do some fairly decent damage to your opponents in the early game. Just make sure you don't use it too often, or else you'll run out of mana quickly.

Poking efficiently comes with practice, and there's a lot of "Risk VS Reward". But if you practice her correctly, Jinx is super strong! You can do it, I believe in you! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

Thanks man, this is some of the best advice I've gotten :) I'll do my very best :D

Nah she ain't near the hardest to use. I would rate Draven the hardest. also if your talking about akill shot reliant adc's, have you ever played Varus? Worse mana issues, one form of hard cc on his ult and his attack speed steroid requires he kills a unit first, also he is completely immobile. There's a reason she is constantly been one of the highest performing adc's since her release. I would actually recommend her as one of the easier adc's because she really has something in her kit for every situation and no real downside.

I get you. Then again, I think I'll just take a break from playing blind pick so much.

YCitizenSnipsY1 votes

blind pick

I think we found your problem. In Team builder you get a team mate that actually wants to play support. Learning adc, or any role really, is much easier in TB.

AstroFerrari 1 votes

Yeah, the last 3 losses I've had have taught me that the hard way xD hahaha

AstroFerrari 1 votes

Damn ya'll I was just saying how I feel, no need for down voting me so hard. Also, Draven pretty much outdamages Jinx all game. Even if he if tougher to play than Jinx, I think he's more rewarding when played well.

Jinx is a very strong poker and carry.

she can only have all of that because she has no real escape. traps are more used for securing kills not escaping. if u kill/assist her passive is ur escape.

her AA range is very high with fishbones and its an AOE crit-a-thon.

AstroFerrari 1 votes

I have no problems getting in poke, but i have trouble balancing poke with making sure I farm.

So I shouldnt go in for a kill unless I know I'm going to get it to active my passive and get out?

PeachsProperty1 votes

in farm her range shouldnt give her any issues.

sure vs someone with gapcloser could be issue, but thats how game is. times liek that u are forced to play more cautiously.

AstroFerrari 1 votes

I understand. I was starting to see that in the last few games I played vs. Xin Zhao as a jungle and now I have a much better feel for it

PeachsProperty1 votes

unless your river(and possibly main brush at closest jungle entrance to your 1st turret) are warded or you know their jungler is not near you(like if he is at top lane) you must be wary about pushing your lane.

champions with escape mechanics can be more daring about pushing lane as they can get away, but jinx is a sitting duck if she gets caught.
