Make his Q give just a regular shield. instead of a magic damage shield. And make his passive give reduced damage, sort of like fizz, maybe lower it from 15% but honestly his passive and magic shield are used a lot less considering the amount of AD in this game now.

I played against the old kass, and still like him better then zed.
The Ginger Ninga1 votesI agree with you about that, but the problem is Kassadin is supposed to be a counter mage. Giving him flat damage reduction defeats that purpose.
Kassadin also isn't in that bad of a spot anymore. Sure he's not a champ you can just pick and dominate with, but no champ should be like that either. Kass is a pick you choose when the enemy mid is a immobile mage. You out-trade then roam, cleaning up kills until late game where you shine. Not something you pick into Zed or Talon.
