Do you enjoy League of Legends? Why do you play?
I realized I hate the game and have no idea why I continue to play it.
Anyone else the same?
What do you enjoy? What don't you enjoy? Why do you play?
EDIT: How long have you been playing?

Friends, fucking friends. No one plays dota 2
What do you enjoy?
Playing
What don't you enjoy?
Playing not
Why do you play? I like seeing my improvement, and you can improve seemingly endlessly. Ranked tracks your improvement. Other games don't have this aspect to it with such easy access. There is also new things to learn because of how the game works, plus patches. There is always something fresh/new that is coming up.
And I find
fun to play
I mean, I play cause I love the game. Sounds like you just don't like the game. I don't play CS:GO cause i don't like the game. It's that simple. I enjoy the competitiveness of League, I enjoy the company that makes the game (I think Riot does a fantastic job at this game, contrary to popular Boards belief). I love how smooth the game feels, and the gameplay is great.
What do you enjoy? Playing with friends and the fact that you don't know who you are playing against and their skill level, I love competitive gameplay.
What don't you enjoy? The trolls, the afks, the people who leave during queue, and the greedy bitches who feed non stop.
Why do you play? Because simply I enjoy learning new ways of winning games, and of course the awesome people you meet here.
EDIT: How long have you been playing? 6 years
I enjoy the fact that every game is the same but different. The champs may be the same but each game plays out different and I love that. I also enjoy that the game's meta always changes and it makes me sad when i see my favorite champs go down the drain ( rip
). I don't enjoy the toxicity of the game but thats nothing riot can control. And I play because again every game is the same but different and it makes every game a unique experience.
I have been playing for about 2 years now slightly less.
*chugs down a glass of whiskey
I learned this game too much well that if i stop playing i would throw like 1/4 of a college degree out the window. B...but, last game my support didn't built a sighstone and everybody was caught repeatedly and i couldn't walk past the wolves line because i had 0 vision even if i was the only one fed...
Normally I hate pvp games. Usually because it devolves down to one person doing so well and egos clashing (1v1 me!) all across the board and getting mocked whenever I die. Course I'm not innocent of doing it (adrenaline and halo).
League feels more like a team game than most other PVP games out there (or when I started playing it a few years ago). I preferred playing with groups despite being somewhat antisocial because I liked being a part of something. So I enjoyed nights where I just go to a friend's dorm and with a group of five we just play bots for hours.
Overtime I started to actually get into pvp. I think the only reason I kept playing through it was because Macs couldn't play many games and it was free (unlike WoW which tends to require more commitment. Without friends WoW is boring and my guild broke up in my early college years).
I started playing more often in my senior year. I had a lot of free time and I needed something to occupy myself during the semester my roommate had to leave (I spent one semester alone before and it was painful. I kinda regressed but instead of letting my thoughts get to me I just played games). I ended up meeting a group of people that I still play with regularly almost a year later. Actually it may have been over a year.
If I didn't have people I looked forward to playing with then I'd quit this game. It's the same reason I can't get into overwatch on my PS4. It has nothing to do with the game being bad, but more the company I keep.
Do I find league fun? Oh definitely. But nothing really stays fun for me when I'm doing it alone.
because i hate my self
You just need to take a break and play something else. Probably one too many bad games. I've been putting this down when I'm at the point of smashing my head against the wall. There are thousands of games and I've only beaten about 100 or so (I had a list, tempted to remake if I can remember them)
I enjoy seeing and feeling improvement in my gameplay. I'm bad at video games. I can bet Challenger at this and still call myself garbage because I have one of the worst records for beating a game (10 years for Ocarina of Time...I eventually broke down to read our guide and noticed I missed a very very very tiny corridor)
The thing I don't enjoy is when I go into a game and people constantly gripe about something. For exampe, I was playing Ashe for the first time in, god, months? Now, I'm more used to playing AP casters so my farming was garbage. Instantly our support is like "your cs is trash, omg this noob ashe, are you troliing?" cause he pretty much ditched me after spamming laugh in lane while varus and lulu were kicking my ass.
Why do I play? Because I always want to improve. I'm a firm believer in the idea that the human holds limitless potential when you set your mind to it. My personal goal was to master some mechanically-intensive champion to prove to myself I was good or getting better due to being utter shit at all games. At roughly 57% win rate and 4.2 kda, level 7 300k mastery. I think I can say I've reached that milestone and have plateau'd with her so now I'm looking to find something new to improve on.
I hate this game, I only play it because my computer can move other games.
