At this point is has become apparent that Rito just wants to add fuel to the fire.

No point in arguing against it anymore, my friends. Can't wait to get skillfully AA'd down and mechanically outplayed by yet another wonderful ADC champ.

Maybe ADCs aren´t broken. Maybe the classes that are just meant to deal with them are weak instead.

Why do you think Riot is buffing some bruisers and some assassins, even going as far as reverting Rengar and soon, LB?

You don´t fix ADCs by gutting them, you fix ADCs by bringing up the power of the ones able to deal with them and give them tools for that, i.e., that shield ignoring/destroying item they´re considering adding.

Of course, they can´t go wild with buffs, especially in regards to the class of balls of stats a.k.a. Bruisers. It´s why Fervor isn´t coming back. It´s why they´re buffing base damage instead of ratios on Renekton. It´s why they´re exploring a Bruiser-tuned, but not Bruiser-exclusive keystone that has almost nothing if not nothing to do with giving them AD.

click on the champion icon next to the "post" button and type "marksman".

not counting azir, kennen, urgot and jayce there are 19 marksmen in total. soon to be 20.

if you compare the number of assassins against that and ignore the skirmishers, bruisers, mages like malzahar, and even marksmen who pop up for some reason, there are in total 14 actual assassins in this game.

marksmen used to be a smaller group of champions and became one of the larger classes at some point.

20 isn't a lot. I would say this doesn't do anything to support the OP, but I don't think you agree with him. Adding champions is just adding champions.
