While I can't speak for all champions/playstyles

The loss of access to early magic pen just feels bad for at least Syndra (again, I can't speak for all champions, or even specifically mages). Maybe I just need to get used to the new runes, but I swear it just feels like I'm doing less damage throughout the early game (and late game on squishies who don't build mr) which can be quite devastating for Syndra in some matchups.

I understand the argument that early magic resist runes were removed, but you gotta remember or cost a lot less than etc, which don't even provide an equal amount of pen. It's also still not an equal tradeoff, because most adc's don't have a bunch of mr in their build or old runes. Come late game, having what was essentially true damage agaisnt a high priority target like an adc was a pretty significant advantage that is now gone.

And it's not really an "omg I'm doing absolutely no damage anymore" thing, it's just that certain trades/combos that should kill a player let them now let them live and can escape, or certain matchups where someone get rush magic resist and still be a threat ( ) are basically an absolute hard counter at this point.

Idk what you can do about this tbh, just trying to bring awareness cuz I miss my magic pen runes :(
