Probably because item 3134 invalidates you with item 3123 item 1001

Not really. You basically turn the lane into a 1v2 for the enemy team.

Not really, if you have EC and enemy has BF, he invalidates you, he still gets 60% heals, silences and slows. If you counter build but dont have the damage behind it to utilize it, you'll just get blown up.

I thought you guys meant to rush it first buy, but if you mean just to buy in generally early, then yes I definitely agree, get EC maybe after BF and shoes. But rushing it as a clutch reaction is definitely not good either.

If you are 500G behind in items, they would have beaten you anyways.

Executioner's Calling + Health Potion is far more comparable to a Pickaxe than a BF Sword.

Besides, nobody says that you have to rush Executioner's Calling as your very first purchase. It is quite possible to purchase it after your BF Sword and before your Zeal item.

There's no reason to rush item 3123 , even vs Soraka, Vlad, etc. Get your first finished item then grab it if you need the edge.

Early game is when your gold investments make the largest difference. Don't cripple yourself by buying counter-itemization before you have anything to put behind it.

executioners is a good rush against soraka.

if it was rephrased to "deal 40% increased damage to champions" would you rush it?

She doesn't heal 100% of the damage you do, though. Especially early game when her CDR isn't maxed, she doesn't have max levels in her W, and she has almost no AP to speak of.

Its probably less than a 20% damage increase...and, as with any 'multiplier', its not doing jack shit if you don't have anything for it to multiply behind it.

Nobody says that you have to buy it as your first item.

Purchasing it after BF Sword (and Zeal) is definitely a viable option though.

Basically, Executioner's Calling + Health Potion is more useful against a Soraka than a Pickaxe in most situations.
