Best first item for Gangplank?

What do you guys think?

Right now with how little I've played him I've started item 3087 (Avarice for gold boost mainly) (didn't go well), item 3078 (mixed results; I did well vs Jayce after I finished it but ended up getting annihilated by Riven past lane)

Would item 3074 's AD boost be significant enough to give him proper waveclear with barrels soaking up his damage? Or should I opt to start building crit immediately at the expense of early game?

I recommend Tri Force, First. That will give you the best possible wave clear with his Barrels.

Personally, I don't like Critplank. I would maybe get Hydra after Tri force, but otherwise build CDR and Health. The more CDR and health you have, the more survivability you would have with your oranges.
