In defense of Akali amidst all the hate threads

I used to play a lot of Akali before Riot nerfed her Q being procced by her E a few years ago which really killed her. At the time, she was dominating Ascension which really suited her playstyle and people got fed up with her because she was VERY good at that particular game mode so Riot ended up nerfing her pretty hard (as well as claiming they weren't doing it because she was great in Ascension, but nobody believed them.) I see a similar issue with Nexus Blitz, as I feel it appeals to a lot of her strengths once again.

I understand that people feel she is frustrating to play against and maybe some of her gameplay issues should be addressed, but I just wanted to chimi in that I've seen the Akali witch hunt before and it seems to peak right about the time she gets these game modes where she does really well in.
