How to nerf thunderlords
Ludens no longer counts a spell hit towards it

auto attacks count as only half a hit towards proc'ing it.
That wouldn't be enough to nerf it... with
you can trigger thunderlords on someone and get them to half health in a half of a second. If you wanna nerf it you prob want to reduce the ratios and add a cd of a half second or so between each stack.

Kog'maw still wants fervor over thunderlord's by a country mile.
I take thunderlords with him :3

Good for you but I think the numbers favor Fervor. Kog'maw auto attacks quite often and really fast, and it only takes about 4 or 5 attacks for fervor to have dealt more damage than Thunderlord's, and it scales way past Thunderlord's damage if he gets any more autos off. Plus hitting with one of his abilities first speeds up that timer really quickly by giving you two free stacks.
The early trading power is more valuable than some increased ramping up damage.

When you have E and W it's very easy for even a short trade to get more damage out of Fervor. People just don't realize this because the damage is spread over the whole trade instead of in a very shiny explosion.
atm he is horrible late game (at least how i build him) so thunderlords gives him that little extra push early game

I think that, even in the early game, Fervor is better. Statistics seem to show it outperforming Thunderlord's, too.
36, would immediately balance it by making most commit a bit more, and stormraider could surge a bit more in popularity instead of just talon/galio
thats... not the problem, the problem is Thunderlords not being more specific, i think they should make it more assassin specific by either increasing its cooldown to at least 1 minute, or making Thunderlord's only proc if the damage would kill the target (obviously tweaking damage)

that would make Thunderlord's be completely useless. Unless you plan on buffing the hell out of the damage of it. Assassins don't need thunderlord's to 100-0 anyone and increasing the CD of it by that much would just kill the keystone.

that's why i clarified "tweaking the damage", because as it is most lanners get it so they can use it in small trades every 20 seconds, so there isn't any reason not to get it. higher cooldown or proccing only with lethal damage that would be solved and other masteries would have a niche.

if you are going to tweak the damage you are just buffing it by a stupid amount to the point people would just keep getting it anyways or never pick it at all. People are picking it because it's a good generic keystone that doesn't take forever to be useful. The keystones in the ferocity tree only have DFT as a generic use that is somewhat useful but only really on DoT champions or champions like Vlad and Cass who have pretty good sustained damage. The rest of the keystones in the ferocity tree take forever to be useful. The cunning tree keystones you have Thunderlord's... one that is for supports and one that is just terrible since the champions who could use it already have escape tools available so they rarely need the MS boost after chunking someone. The tank tree has tank masteries with one that is relatively useful for anyone in the one that steals HP from the target to heal you
