People who don't play Darius a lot think he's fine the way he is

When he is NOT.

I didn't know it was healthy by design to be heavily favored 1 matchup but have almost 0 chance vs another. I didn't know it was ok to be heavily reliant on 1 skill in your entire kit but have that nerfed so you no longer revolve around it.

Darius is fine my ass, he's damn not fun to play against if you're a melee with no escapes and damn not fun to play as vs a ranged champion because you have 0 chance.

He's not fine in that if he doesn't snowball he's useless or if he does he's a monster(feast or famine)

Had his rework "mothballed" January 2014 but cancelled and the rework prob won't be touched in 2015 or maybe briefly looked at before being shelved again.

Maybe your favorite champion hasn't been touched yet or ruined but when it has you will hate it and want them to be fun and useable again.

I'd wager it's not that fun to play against a large number of top laners if you're a melee with no escapes.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Darius was on the tiny rework radar, but his priority got shifted way down the list (for example, like Fiora), or he got took off of it completely.

Darius was designed as a hard counter to melee top laners during a time when there were about 4 viable top laners and they were all melee. The intention was to force players to pick something else, like perhaps a ranged champion.

How times have changed.

Anyway, he served his purpose, he's dead code at this point.

I try to say that but get downvoted to oblivion with either his binary design is fine or that he shouldn't get a rework to be viable as he is unfun.

I do want him reworked.

Darius Deals a shit-ton of damage, even when tanky, but easily shut down by poke/kite comps...if they play smart. ;)

He's a melee counterpick. Niche if you will. He can cut the balls off any melee fighter early game and slow down their scale and he does that well. What more do you want?

Cass never fell of later.. She became a monster late game. And had one of the highest DPS outputs in the game. She never saw play because mobility kicked her ass not her late game.

The need to fix his axe grab. The grab far exceeds the range of the animation. His grab is the same length as some champs ranged attack!

What none-Darius player has ever said that Darius is fine as he is? Darius mains who are afraid of change are the only ones I've heard say it.

Darius Darius has a problem, but it has nothing to do with him DIRECTLY. The current Melee VS Ranged in League of Legends is very out of balance. Garen and other champions of the sorts have the same problems as Darius except that Darius is much stronger in than Garen and others in that area. If Riot would balance the eternal battle of Melee VS Ranged in Top Lane, Darius would be viable again. Mobility creep also needs to change.

I would recommend picking up item 3800 Righteous Glory in order to survive a lane against a highly mobile or ranged champion as Darius.

Darius doesn't even beat all melees without issue. The melees I can think of that he destroys without much problem (who you will realistically see in top lane) are Aatrox Fiora Garen Irelia Pantheon MonkeyKing Olaf Gangplank

I would include DrMundo in that list, but most Mundos will just sit back and farm with Q until they get 6 and a giants belt. After that, you can't really kill him unless he screws up.

Most other melee match ups come down to skill.

The fact that people keep saying he auto wins against all melee shows that people either don't play him or don't know how to play against him.

It's funny that people continue to whine about Darius when Renekton, in his prime, was far more oppressive in lane and an overall better champion than Darius ever was. But Darius continues to be discriminated against for whatever reason.
