Currently, the game is in a bit of a state to where Snowball is huge and the early game is really important. It is incredibly important for you to not die in the early game, so playing champions that are harder to kill early game is important. Champions with high amounts of crowd control, sustain, and mobility are very good at surviving early game. Revive effects are also fantastic and long range can help keep a safe distance from offensive Assassins, ADCs, Skirmishers, and Divers. Playing these champions safely should give decent results against snowball champions if you play them passively.

The anti-snowball champion is Annie. She throws fireballs.

Irelia Bot3 votes

you clearly are using the wrong skin

GrReaper964 votes

So if she uses summoner 32 is she a heretic?

Irelia Bot7 votes

Not even Diana would accept her.

Morgana

Hit any champ that ahead with your q

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Huh? I mean Morgana has waveclear and CC :D. I like her.

Black Shield is probably my favourite support skill in the game. But I still love watching people try to use it to shield against ADCs, also, so maybe I spite it just a little too.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Ahh yeah, maybe vs a Corki or KogMaw or item 3025 Ezreal or something?

Sir Fuzzi3 votes

Ooh yeah, Corki's half'n'half now, that would actually rock his damage probably...

There's a handful of ADCs who wouldn't like to see it, Ashe has virtually no magic damage and so would suffer five seconds of not slowing anything without the shield breaking. Walking over Cait traps, laughing off the Kindred slows, Jinx snappers...

I'm talking more like watching desperate Morgs shield against Sivir or so.

The Lexer1 votes

My favorite is when they use it on a turret shot. Like why?

Xeruon1 votes

Because some people can't tell the difference between absorbing damage and wasting mana and cooldowns.

ChaosThief1 votes

That's evil, kicking them off for inactivity!

stormraiders Sion

u kill me i kill you

or i kill you

either way youre not snowballing but i might

Im The Jayce God2 votes

Eh... never ever had a Sion kill me when i play jayce. When i kill him top lane, he uses his passive, i hammer him back, useless passive.

Tristana isn't anti-snowball. She's one of the weakest ADCs early game. Also Bard isn't anti snowball, his W isn't that good.

Meep Man4 votes

Bard's W is actually really good for keeping an ADC alive if you both are playing passively. Stacking three Ws together can grant your ally a maximum of 210/330/450/570/690 (+180% AP) health. That is almost a full heal and can really save a seemingly lost lane after a poor trade. Also, I included Tristana because she can wave clear passively with her explosive passive and her jump is actually very good for escaping ganks and deadly situations.

Yeah, but her early game range and attack speed make keeping up while playing defensively against the snowballers pretty rough.

you mean: "I have a shitty laning phase and play boring passive champs all day long hoping my team carries me"

RageRigger34 votes

Well it's better than "I'm gonna play an all in champ and I'm either gonna carry or feed so hard my team will definitally lose"

YumaS2Astral5 votes

If it is a ranked game I would rather play a boring champ instead of a risky champ.

Immortal spax2 votes

I dont know why you get downvoted, you just spoke the truth...

venomous frost1 votes

well, boards is full of people complaining about "S6 super snowbally, riven super OP, games end too fast" and all that blahblah.

While in reality they will never now how a riven with a 2 level lead could literally 1v4 in season 2 or 3

People here just expect to win the game by not dying and playing passive, and nobody wants to take risks to actually carry themselves.

Immortal spax2 votes

The funny thing is that if a bronze opens a thread to ask how to climb his league all the boards will answer "pick a snowball champ, win lane amnd 1v9"

Double standars, the board at it finest.

Alex Throwe1 votes

Well that's assuming they actually deserve to be in a higher rating and want to climb fast. This guide is to prevent snowballing at a higher rating.

Immortal spax1 votes

Yes, but those are the same people who when you ask some specific tips, the first one who they list is to play passive the laning phase, just doublestandards.

RogueWill4 votes

Actually DrMundo and Zac have high chances of dying early game since their HP cost are considerable high without the proper HP rengen, Mundo more than Zac since his cost are flat instead of % like Zac

LordForrest1 votes

with Mundo, you don't actually fight until at least 6. You pretty much just farm and Cleaver. If you need to be super passive use your Cleaver to farm. Hell Mundo is actually pretty good at holding a 1v2 lane.

He said anti-snowball...Mundo is actually bad against it since once the enemy top has a clear advantage he is unable to work in lane until late game. Your 6 will only let you stay on lane longer if the enemy have already an advantage. I'm not saying Mundo is bad or anything, he is just not anti-snowball

Meep Man2 votes

A well played Mundo and Zac will be extremely hard to kill, especially since Mundo can now farm with Cleavers without losing any HP. Also, Zac has the one lowest amount of average deaths per game. Any good Zac can nullify the health costs with bloblets as well.

No wait I think it's this.

Meep Man2 votes

Urgot No, no this, this!

AcidTheWarlock1 votes

You could actually add Urgot to the list

Meep Man1 votes

True, but don't want to crowd up the list too much more.

Witch of Babylon2 votes

Where the fuck is Kayle.

Hawkefire3 votes

Kayle is really really easy to take out earlygame, and once she is behind she stays very behind.

Her ult is definitely useful, but I would much rather have a champion on my team rather than a simple ult.

zlumpy2 votes

Brand: because he is on fire and all the snowballs melt.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

only waveclear champions are anti snowball. if anything engage tanks are bad against snowball because they get poked down and have to fight the fed adc and mage that burst them like squish

Sire Hippington4 votes

While those tanks aren't great at stopping a snowball on a global scale, they do work well vs snowbally toplaners as they have alot defensive tools and can play rather passiive and drop in cs while staying relevant for their team, so they minimize the risk of a snowballing riven or irelia for example.

Jeanne fan club1 votes

U forgot pantheon, he shuts down carries.

LatetotheRace1 votes

"Anti-snowball" Pantheon is a snowballer himself, not exactly what op was talking about.

Jeanne fan club2 votes

well he certainly does have the tools to shut down many top lane carries, riven, yasuo, quinn and the such.
