Is it MF's passive or her Q that's too strong?
Still remembering the moment she killed a minion I was near with her Q and getting hit for more than a turret shot does at level 1, I don't know which is actually making her damage that high.

It's the second bounce on the Q, it does bonus damage and seems to prioritize champions. Her passive is more or less fine on its own.
If you're standing that needlessly close to nearly dead minions you deserve to get chunked. The angle on it is incredibly narrow and the range is not as long as it feels like it should be. It also does not prioritize champions, so the list of conditions you need to satisfy to get hit by it is extensive.
Oh, I'm not saying it's super easy to land, or that I haven't killed someone by bouncing it off their ADC because they don't run fast enough. He merely asked where all the damage was coming from, and so there's his answer.
The second hit prioritizes champions you hit with your passive before you cast your Q, then minions in a narrow arc, then champs in that arc, then minions in a wider arc, then champs in that arc, and then minions in a 110 degree arc, then champs in that arc, and finally a very short, very wide cone.
Doesn't prioritize champions. It probably goes of max heal in the AoE behind the first target.
Double Up's second shot prioritizes units directly behind the primary target, especially enemy champions marked by Love Tap prior to the ability being cast. If the first target is killed, the second hit will critically strike, dealing 50% increased damage.
Well now.
This is.. Awkward.
Bonus damage on second bounce + autocrit for killing the first target + love tap.
Actually pulling this off is incredibly hard, since you need to effectively walk into them.
The passive replaces grievous wounds AND stacking magic damage and is only useful for the first shot in an engagement. It's a great passive, but it's an overall nerf in that department. (MF's rework traded in a bunch of stuff for a usable E and an ult that actually matters now.)
I believe the Q is a guaranteed crit for the ricochet if it hits an enemy champion, that's probably what chunked you.
